Can processing a test upside down make it a false BFP?

Hi ladies
I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks in May and my cycles have been all over the shop since. I suspected I wasn't even ovulating. Did a test 2 days ago and BFN. Then yesterday I was soooo tired so today I did another test. I was convinced I wasn't pregnant so didn't take it too seriously and I actually tested in the McDonalds toilets lol!!

Anyway there was a big queue and after I peed on the stick I dropped it by accident & it went upside down so then I just shoved it in my bag and left. 2 mins later peeked in my bag and 2nd line almost as dark as control line.

The instructions say to keep the test straight while it processes. Do you think tilting it and it going upside down can make it go massive false BFP? I'm just suspicious because I was bfn 2 days ago.

Thanks xx

I wouldn't of thought so Hun, I mean as long as the urine absorbs into the test stick surely thats all that matters, I think they say that incase there's not enough urine to ask it up,,,
Anyhow waffling over
Bfp congratulation. :D

Thank you... Previously I would have thought def yes. Now after MMC I'm just a lot more wary!
Xx

Because u have had the bfn I between the bfp I reckon it's a true reading although some with a more scientific view might be able to make better sense for u :)

Omg well I just tested again and it was the whitest BFN I've ever seen....

Oh well I guess tilting it does make false bfps...

Really now I can't believe it w maybe there's more science behind it than I thought:( I am so sorry :(

All I can think of is either the tilting caused the dye to pool in the indent causing the bfp... Or your pee wasn't concentrated enough causing the bfn.. Hold your pee- drink nothing- and test again!
