Can you dye your hair right before holiday?

anyone had any experience of this?

I'm going abroad on saturday & really want to dye my hair dark brown then someone told me you should never do that because the heat & chlorine would ruin it.

Is this true, i can't dye my hair now?

I could be wrong, but I've honestly never heard that before! I think you'll be OK!

I did, had it bleached then dyed bright red and it was fine, though i didnt go under water and get it wet, i wore a bandana and breast stroked he he
