Can you freeze freshly cooked food?

Like meats and fish?

I made some lovely cod the other night and weren't sure so I has to chuck it in the end x

I hope so coz ive got a freezer full of ice cubes of pureed lamb mince, beef mince, plaice with tomatoes and potato, plaice with cheese and spinach, among other meals ive freshly made then frozen. Shes been having these defrosted in the microwave and has been fine.
