Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

:happydance:Oh I am so excited to put up the tree too! I'm not looking forward to taking it all down and cleaning up the Christmas stuff though...if I'm not so huge that it's impossible by that point:rofl:

I have figured her out! Any time I sit down to check messages quickly (am not paying attention to Hannah) she runs over to the slide so I'll "help" her get on it :dohh:  any other time she ignores me

Do you guys do fake or real?

And Nic, which church are you hitting this year? j/k hehe

we have always had a fake tree in the past but we've always been in Texas. This year we're going to have a real tree :wohoo:

 Fake. It's a really nice one though. My mom gave it to me when she moved to a condo and wanted something smaller.

:hi: Nic and Trin!!

We do fake! Cats, dog, real tree = huge mess!

YOu guys have me totally pumped to start this scrapbook for Chris.....just a mini one!!

..... now.....to find money to buy supplies........

oh and sex after baby.....since I totally felt like a virgin again, I was super scared...so we wait 8 weeks, but we were cleared at 6 after I healed.

We do fake. The enviro-tree-hugging hippie in me dislikes chopping down a live tree for the sole purpose of decoration. Not so bad if you were using it for firewood afterwards, at least then it had a purpose, ya know?

Sorry to get all soapboxy. I don't look down on people who do use real of course, but its just not our personal preference. :)

Jay - if you are good at google searching you can find free digital stuff. I'm just too lazy to find enough to make a matchy match album so I figured the 6 bucks was worth the cost of the kit.

We do real trees. I'm not sure what we are going to do this year though. We don't even have room for a tree, last year it went where the rocking chair is, this year that is NOT an option

Sex after Edward.... missing in action  Seriously I wasn't even cleared till 8 weeks and it's still uncomfortable.

We also do fake...but I dunno this year I kinda want to have a real tree so we will see! I'm not even in the festive mood at all..doesn't feel like the middle of Nov! Could be because its +14 out maybe

Ugggh LeeAnne is miserable! She woke up from her nap in a TERRIBLE mood...crying, throwing a fit..so I gave her a bottle and she still was acting up so I gave her some motrin, hopefully it helps! She is drooling like MAD and we have had 2 explosive diapers today:growlmad:

Tiff - here in Edmonton the city collects the real trees after Christmas and chips them up and uses them in the parks. That makes it all good in my green books (not that I'm all that green, just a light mint really)

I'm always torn, part of me would love a fake tree so it can stay up longer, plus there's the no bugs thing and no needles on the floor that need to be cleaned.
Then again I love the smell of a real one, and picking it out, plus then we don't have it up until the end of January lol.

OH question, those of you that baby wear.. I think Peter could be interested (and I wouldn't mind one either if I can find one that would fit me!). We were given one of those ones that's kind of like a backpack (with hard plastic and plasticy fabric), but I was talking to him about it and he's not sure. So I brought up the kind I've seen you guys use, where it's all fabric and he sounded interested. I'm totally excited.

Is there a place online that has them for a reasonable (cheap) price?

aaaw Em, you GOTTA get in the Christmas spirit!!! It's LeeAnne's first Christmas :wohoo:!!!!!!!!

Even if it is not :cold: :hugs:

I AM SOOOOO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMASSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL Jay! I wish I was that excited! I guess now I'm just stressed about moving (even if it just down the street!). Get everything moved in and put up the decorations as quick/fast as possible :(

Ugh leeanne is biting EVERYTHING!! she just bit down SUPER hard on the water bottle and then screamed..teeth possibly?!?

That's freaking brilliant! Well done, Edmonton! I wish our draconian city did the same thing!

Are you talking about the Babyhawk? I'd highly recommend it! You might be able to find used ones on Ebay, but there's something about being able to pick your own fabrics (like what we did). I totally heart my skulls babyhawk!

Yah... no ebay for us since we had a bad experience.

What do you think about one of these?

*edit* Skulls? I'd be all over that.. well if we weren't running our own business lol

I <3 <3 <3 the moby's!! A friend of mine has one and let me use it for a few weeks and it was fabulous! VERY easy to use, LOTS of different positions to use it in! If you are unsure just youtube them, lots of reviews!

I have the Cuddlywrap, which is the same as a Moby. I won't lie, I loved it. It was super comfy and really great when she was small. The problem being is that Claire was a massive porkchop, and she got really heavy, really quickly.

Mine is pink, and I'm contemplating on selling it. The problem with that too is that I'm not sure how down your hubby would be wearing a pink wrap. Out of the two, IMO you'll get your money's worth buying a Babyhawk. It can be used from newborn up to 40lbs. :)
