The only shitty thing I have read is this:
During the first CBC treatment cycle, about one in three women may have 20 or more days of unplanned bleeding or spotting (bleeding when you are taking pink pills). This bleeding or spotting tends to decrease during later cycles

But I think thats the case with all types of BC that makes you not have a monthly period.

You know I would LOVE to not have a period BUT they say if you want to have anymore kids these types of birthcontrol and shots that make you not have a period for months will make it that much harder to have a baby. I dont want to have to TTC for years

Oh... Andrew and I are getting a boat lmfao.

The summer before last, OH's dad was selling his boat. A guy gave him the first $500 towards it but never gave him the rest, he's decided he doesn't want the boat anymore.. so he was going to try selling it again. But first he asked us if we want it.. and of course we did!! I love going out on the boat, to fish and just relax. I'm so excited to fo watch sunsets on the lake! It's a speed boat, so if we can I want to get the stuff (or rent it) to go tubing this summer (if I find a bathing suit of course!)... and now I've got to get my boating license! I know how to drive a boat, just have to get the license so I don't get into any trouble I'm thrilled!!

I am worried about taking it on Lake Ontario though

but I love Georgian Bay

I want another baby.. but if it doesn't happen.. it doesn't happen... I know that might sound crazy to some but if I can only have Elyse that's fine with me. If I have problems TTC I don't think I would try for any fertility treatments or anything.. but I'm still so young I have time to TTC for years I guess.. IDK! At the same time I don't want a huge age gap.. arggg planning your life is so stressful isn't it!

Hannah's in 3s and I think she will be for a while yet. She's pretty small waisted and her length growth has slowed down the last few months Not sure why she eats like a horse just maybe one of her slower growth times

Well, not necessarily. I've been taking BC for 10 years with only 4 periods a year. I went off the pill in January to TTC, and I was pregnant 2 weeks later! I also had a m/c while on BC in October.

I have only heard of Depo really causing any fertility issues if you use it for years...

Pills (any kind) are out of your system within less then 2 hours.

Yeah you only have a period every 3 months. I have not had any bleeding since being on it, this is my 3rd week on it. I was on Yasmin but it was giving me a headache every single day.

I was on Depo for 4 years, I got pregnant probably....6 months after stopping it? and I did have a mc, can't say it was the Depo? and than I was pregnant with Helena 2 months after my mc.

So really the only birth control I have experience with is Depo.

The reason that depo can cause issues is because it stays in your system longer and the longer you use it the longer it builds up in your system.

I use the NuvaRing. Love it! No fuss, no muss.

pinkmac, I'm not disputing that some people may have troubles after being on BC for a long period of time...I'm just glad that it was so quick for me! Luckily, I won't have to worry once LO is here...OH is gettin snipped!

Alexa has been in 5's since december, and looks like she will be in that size for a while longer!

My dad works at Ford so my ENTIRE family (aunts, uncles, cousins) are all driving Fords. When we all get together it's like a dealership lot

I'm still not on any BC since having Elyse...

Been using condoms.. but I want to get an IUD - at my gyno's office the little "menu" type thing says OHIP doesn't cover Mirena - $400, IUDs - $140... I'm not sure what my extended health coverage will pick up?? I assume IUDs are just the copper ones rather than Mirena that has the hormone right??

Tasha I'm still not on BC yet either we of course have been using condoms but I'm still not sure what kind of BC I want to go on! I know definiatly not the shot but not sure about the pill-I know its a pain in the butt to remember to take it but I REALLY dont want anymore kids for the next few years so I am pretty sure that if I REALLLLLLY dont want more kids I WILL remember to take it

I took my pill like clockwork-- to an alarm set on my cell phone and I got pregnant.

It was my first month being on Tricyclen Lo from Alesse (3 years) though.. ??

I HATED taking pills! I was ok with the remembering, but I think I tried 7 different brands and they all made me feel horrible and I spotted the whole time I was on them! UGH. So then I tried the NuvaRing, which was ok but pretty expensive as I remember. I don't really recall why I stopped using it, so maybe that's not the reason.

We use condoms though. I never really did trust my birth control...I like something I can SEE works! Know what I mean? Most of the time when I was on bc I still made him use a condom anyway..paranoid I tell ya!

MIL Told me that she thinks that it is being a bit paranoid to use condoms, along with BCP I told her, that if one time that we don't use a condom, and I get pregnant on BCP, I will be calling her to yell at her!

^ that's what happened with Elyse lol... OH & I always used condoms and I was on the pill.. we probably did it like 3x without condoms and one of those times missy came along... it was heaven not using anything when I was pregnant..
