I wish I could come over with Elyse and tackle the 2 of them together! Does BJ know anyone at work with babies? Maybe their wives/gfs or what have you could hang out with you? Or is there anything you could do like in Ontario we have the Early Years centers.. something like that out there? Libraries? The public libraries here run programs for kids & for parents & babies.. I'll keep thinking of suggestions for you though.

Is hiring a babysitter for a couple hours a week do-able for you guys? You don't even have to leave the house, just have someone come over and keep her occupied a couple hours per week so you can have your own time to relax.. take a bath.. get housework done.. whatever you need doing.. you could even hire like a teenager after school or a college student who's doing Early Childhood Ed or training to work in a daycare or something to bring costs down!

Like I said you'd still be there so you don't have to leave her on her own with a stranger!

Well there was one couple and his wife had an 8 month old, we would get togheter for coffees, etc but they moved away

Ya I think we might hire someone to come over from like 3-4 so I can shower and whatnot..I think LeeAnne is starting her seperation issues because the minute I leave the room she screams the house down, I cant even get a shower in anymore..this way I can have someone come by for an hr or so and then I can at least take a shower! I hate being all gross and stinky when BJ gets home! Speaking of gross and stinky, at some point in the day I got poop on my pants and didnt notice it until BJ gavve me ahug, asked why I stank..and he looked down and there it was..dried up poop..GROSS!

Aaahhh, what a nice evening! I came home from work and promptly flopped into bed cause I was so wiped, but Kalevi came in a few minutes later and needed me to catch Flint (my horse) so he wouldn't escape out of the fence.

We bought some grain that needed to be unloaded into a bin, which is in the pasture. So I was basically forced to go work with my horse, which I've only done three times since he got back from the winter pasture a week and a half ago. I had the most wonderful two hours! Even though I didn't ride, it was just fun to hang out with him. I discovered he eats dandylions like candy!! haha

I'm glad Kalevi yanked me out of bed...but I'm still Oh-So-Tired! I feel like I could sleep all day if left uninterrupted...or had nothing better to do!

YIKES! I just saw Flint chasing the cow through the pasture...weird because usually they get along so well because it's just the two of them there! She must have given him the evil momma's eye!

He was a PMU colt, so there's no way to know, but now that he's grown up a bit I think he's just a plain ole quarter horse. At first, I was convinced he had some Perch in him, because he was so solid, but he's 5 now and just looks liks a big tough QH

well i had the worlds worst sleep-leeanne was up every 2hrs! we went from sleeping straight through the night to this..although I dont think shes feeling well, she has got badddddddddd diareah, poor thing

i had a good yelling at BJ last night so I feel MUCH better..guess Im just lonely out here which makes everything feel worse but overall im feeling better today!

hope everyone had a good night and is having a good day! leeanne and i are doing lots of cuddling and watching movies

We had a good night but a TERRIBLE morning/afternoon. I normally take Phoenix out shopping (since like you Em, I'm new in town and don't know anyone to hang out with) Normally he'll sleep through the entire trip (3-4 hrs) but today just screamed and screamed and of course everyone in the store looks at me like I'm a bad mother and why is this child crying. So I had to come back home and didn't do what I was suppose to....grrr.... We came home and he still screamed but after a while calmed down thank god. He's napping now, I hope for a while since he hasn't slept at all. I don't remember the last time I had a day like today with him.

I had a good start to my day... but the late afternoon (always the worst for us) was awful. Elyse went from 2am yesterday until 5pm today without pooing.. so needless to say she was a bit cranky.

Fortunately she did sleep through the bus ride to the hospital and most of the time in the waiting room.. I get to cancel my nurses' visits tomorrow rather than next Friday

And I made an appointment to have my Mirena put in.. I'm scared!! lol

In other news, we got Claire her next-stage carseat today. We went with the Britax Boulevard. Can't believe she's pretty much big enough to use it now! She's almost grown out of her infant seat in length now!

wow I think im in for a looooooong night! LeeAnne just had the worst screaming fit yet!! An hour on non stop screaming, it got so bad she couldn't breath and started turning blue!! We swaddled her (to which she screamed even more) and finally fell asleep at 7! She has never gone to bed this early before so Im afraid shes going to be up at like 2-3 ready for the day!!

Speaking of screaming-when your LO's are just going irate and start to calm down do they make a really weird sound, almost like they are caughing???? I cant really explain it but it happens like every 3 minutes once shes settling down, scares the shit out of me!!

^ hmmm.... no never a coughing like sound.. he kind of just groans and moans and then goes quiet. I hope she sleeps for you, after all that she must be exhausted.

Tyff - that's exciting that you got a new car seat! It's crazy how quickly they outgrow things.

Claire did that Em, it was awful!

Have you thought about changing formula? I always thought the Good Start was good for Claire, but she screamed like that as well, for a few hours each night. Then I switched her to Enfamil A+, and she did better, but still screamed. Now she's on Enfamil Gentlease and it's awesome! No more screaming fits!

Not sure, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
