Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

I use Mother-ease which are also very nice. We had blow-outs all the time with the diaper service diapers which made me quite concerned about getting our own but we don't have that problem with these. They have an "all in one" that fits for a long time, I decided to go with the "sandy's" so I will have to buy more once Edward is 20lbs.

I suggest if you want to go cloth buy a couple in each kinds that you are concidering and see what you like and what will work for you.

I have a mini-diaper liner bag (just like the one that lines the diaper pail but much smaller) that I take with me to bring back dirties in. The only time I've felt the need to use disposibles is when I've done some traveling.

Vickie, I made your cobbler (a peach one) and I have ate like half of it myself. YUMMY!

Stiina, just google Bumgenius and you'll get their website. Codegirl makes a great point, it's good to shop around a bit. I'm lucky that I started with Bumgenius and I love them, but look around, they can be pricey if you don't like them.

Funny you mentioned gDiapers. We started with those originally but found (like you mentioned) that the liners are WAAAAAAY too expensive. Especially for nighttime use they want you to use two liners and do what they call a 'sushi roll' to prevent leaks. We were going through a pack of 40 liners in about 3 days or so. Yikes! We had stocked up on them when I was pregnant (not realizing how bloody expensive they are) and were super lucky that the lady who sold us the Bumgenius took them back and gave us store credit. The store we originally bought them from closed down!

I think some people might use those old school cloth diapers, but eeeeeeee with having to put the safety pins in, eh?

The hospital here in town turned me totally away from them-they use cloth diapers which look like burping clothes attached with saftey pins!

So we are back from LeeAnne's appt! It took us forever-they were soooo behind due to the doctor having like 8 emergency csections he had to attend too! But he said LeeAnne is doing VERY well!! She is now 26inches (he couldn't believe she has sprouted so much! She wasn't even 18inches when born!) and weighs almost 14lbs...what a porker! He said we can start rice cereal whenever we are comfortable starting-I think we will wait until next month when she is 5 months!

wow 26inches! She is like the same height as Jasmine! ha ha... Jasmine weighs over 17lbs though and is 26.5 inches. umm so ya, Leeanne is definately not a porker compared to Jasmine!!!! She loves food too much ha ah.

Im going to get the bumgenius diapers next time... i got cheap washabls this time, but only because I couldnt find anything else... ive since found a local store which carries bumgenius.

I'm baaaack .

What a couple of days :dohh:

Is it just me, or does life for some reason get busier once you have a baby? I feel like there's always something & never enough time in the day to relax or just do things I want to do (sometimes I don't really have time to do things I need to do TBH!) :hissy:

Here are some teething pics of my little monster. At least she still has a smile on her face :)

Hopefully not too huge, I took them with my phone:

Dripping drool and some red cheeks :D

I know what you mean Tasha....TMI alert but today I didnt even have time to poop! Between LeeAnne wanting to sit on my lap all day and tell stories to getting ready for her dcts appt I just couldnt find the time to go

Awwwww Wendy-at least shes still smiley! LeeAnne has SUPER red cheeks, although one of her cheeks looks like a rash as its bumpy, so no clue whats going on with that!! I love how Helena always has her hood up!

Em I totally know the feeling. I had to stop my intestinal cleanse because I have too much crap going on at home to crap

I spent the night at OH's (holy awful. I didn't stay in OH's room with him. I didn't sleep on the love seat in the living room baby was in. I slept on the queen size pull out in their other living room - across the hall - AND I SHARED IT WITH MY F-ING MIL!!) :hissy:

What...why the heck did you have to share it with your MIL..doesnt she have a bed?!?! Why couldnt you share with your OH?!? My inlaws let us sleep in the same bed now probably because now that we have a baby together they have finally come to terms with the idea that we have sex LOL

Honestly lol like I don't know if they're trying to prevent a sibling for Elyse or what, lol.

My parents are kind of the same way.. like OH can stay over, my dad doesn't care if he stays in my room, but my bed is small, it would never work, lol. We did that once and it was so crammed. But like Elyse's crib is upstairs so they can't very well ban him from my room, lol.

But I'm not really supposed to be in his. It's BS lol. And I had to share with her bc she wanted to watch Twilight with me at 1am on the big screen :|

Most awkward night of my life. She sleeps in a night gown. We had our own blankets, lol but I slept right on the edge, I didn't want her to like roll over and touch me

wow that is just ridiculous....she couldnt go up to her own bed after the movie? I'd neeeeeeever sleep with my MIL
Sounds like they might be trying to prevent a sibling lol..oh the joys of inlaws!! BJ and I dont sleep together at my parents place because the bed is TINY but they wouldn't care-I'd never have sex in my parents house tho *shudders at the thought* Just smething that bothers me!!
What are they going to do when you guys move in together?? Do they know you guys ae thinking about it??

Yeah they do lol but it's sort of a "not in my house" sort of thing.

IDK, I have sex in their house lol... but I won't do it if they're all home. OH tries to convince me to all the time, but I always say no. It's rude and all you can really do is have a quickie, which I'm not feeling lately, lol. Even though I gave in and had one the other day at my house.. when my dad was home. First time doing that, really weird, lol.

Oh his mom does WANT us to get married before we move out though. :)

The only way we can afford a wedding though really is to elope, or wait forever. I wouldn't mind eloping, I don't want to spend that much money on a wedding but if I have one I want it to be the way I want it, which will cost me a lot of money

Oh man Tasha, I'd be so annoyed.
Although, Andrew's parents won't let his sister have her boyfriend sleep over when they're home for the weekend, he stays at his parents... And Andrew wasn't allowed to have me in the same bed, until the realized... the worst that could happen, already did!! haha.

I would NEVER sleep with my MIL.. i'd turn around and just tell her "i'm going home. sorry"... too awkward for me! I can talk to her about tons, but sleeping in the same bed would be too much for me I think..

Wendy - Helena is soo cute!

My in laws are the opposite. They let any of there kids sleep with whoever. I slept with Brian, his younger teenage brother always had chicks sleeping over, one time he had 2 in there...and I walked by the door...and it was not good.

Even his younger sister had her boyfriend practically move in.

I was always allowed to sleep in OH's room (when he lived at home with his parents)-likely because I already had my own place when I started sleeping over at his parents, so it was not like we needed to sneak around to have sex  FIL and step-MIL said they don't care if we have sex in their house-as long as they are not home, and it's not in their bed

MIL rules though-no sex in her house at all lol

You don't know how badly I wanted to go home, lol. But she picked me up & OH was asleep :(

Oooh, we did the dirty many times, under the roofs (rooves?) of both our families, with or without them there. At his mom's house, we had to sleep on different floors of the house and their stairs are SO creaky! But Kalevi would ALWAYS venture upstairs. Something about the thought of getting caught always turned him right on. *sigh*... the good old days when I still had a libido...
