my cats take their food out of the bowl (using their teeth) then eat it off the floor... leaving dried jelly on my floor for me to clean up! dont reallky know why i bother with the bowls

Try getting one of those pet place mats, or put newspaper under the bowls, then you can just screw it up and chuck it in the bin.

got a mat under the bowls, they still put it on my lino. id rather not have news paper lying around haha, i like a neat home!

I have a litter mat that catches the worst of it, but it still manages to fly half way across the room too xxx

ive even got one of the enclosed cat loos ha and she still manages to get it everywhere!!

Our old cat used to use the box and miss... everywhere. It was a really big litter pan too! I think she did it on purpose.

They're being 'clean' and trying to cover it up. How about removing the litter tray? Try putting it outside the back door (or wherever they leave the house when they go outside) so they get used to using it out there. Then remove it altogether. If removing the tray isn't an option, have you considered getting one of the enclosed little trays? Some friends of mine had rubber ribbon strips hanging in the entrance to the box too.

I use one, trust me it doesnt stop the litter coming out!

i seem to spend my life cleaning the tray, sweeping the litter up, hoovering up biscuits that they have half chewed and discarded, and replacing water that they have chucked biscuits in.........love 'em though. lol
