Now we are at cd16 - and still no smiley face! I wish I had any sort of idea how long my cycle was so I would at least know and not be so stressed about it!!!! According to my ticker, my most fertile days will be 11-15 November, so I'm trying not to worry about it til then........its hard though!
 
CD19 and I got mine this morning! :)
Honey don't worry too much if you're not supposed to be fertile for the next few days!! :) I'm sure everything is fine!
 
I'm sure it is Sideways! But I've been so used to a (fake) 28 day cycle, that I can't get my head around a 37 day one! It seems like ages!:wacko:
 
Oh yeah I definitely know what you mean! Being on the pill for so long can make you impatient when the real cycles start showing up. My longest cycle has been 55 days and wow!! You can imagine how many times I POAS that cycle lol. We weren't even TTC back then, we were WTT. :)
 
OMG!!! 55 days!!! You must have been sick of POAS - I've only been doing it a week and it's getting very old very fast already!! I'm just hoping it is only 8 days until I ov, cos I'll run out of tests!:dohh:
 
Ha! Yeah I've been doing it about a week too, maybe a touch longer.
That long cycle I also wore through two 3-pack boxes of HPTs as well... LOL. I had no idea what on earth was going on!
 
Why don't they tell you all this before you go on the Pill? Mind you, I was 18 years old and probably wouldn't have listened :blush:

Yeah I was on BCP for 9 years!
why nobody told me that I had to ovulate to get pregnant.
I thought having period and not using a protection were the only way to get pregnant lol

Gah, my chart doesn't match with my opk test.
Chart says I ovulated On cd15, but I didn't get my smiley till cd16! My temp rose dramatically today too.
Im trying to believe my Opk more.
Glad I BD-ed every other day prior ov though. :-/
 
cd17 and still :nope:

BUT there was a faint line on my opk this morning compared to yesterdays....and even OH said he could see it too! Hopefully there's something happening!
 
I just started using the Clearblue smiley face ovulation tests, and I am on cd 19 and still have not gotten a smiley face.

We are also charting my temps...I work full time so it's hard for me to do the ovulation tests in the afternoon...

I test and do my temperature at 5:30 am every morning. My temperatures still have been low, so I definitely know that i have not ovulated yet.

I can't wait to get that smiley face... :) :) that will definitely be very exciting. I have really bad irregular periods, so it's nice to know that I can use an ovulation test every day, until it happens :)

its been a while... any updates? i did get my smiley face on CD 15, last thursday afternoon... but, DH had performance anxiety so not really excited about this month. i hope u ladies have gotten urs!!
 
I got my smiley on CD19 but when I looked at the strip the test line didn't really look that dark compared to the control line. But it was a bit darker than the previous days. Maybe I just caught the tail end of my surge??? Who knows. I did another OPK this morning (CD20) and nothing, and just now - nothing again except the line was just a little darker. I'm just gonna keep testing until Nov. 22 which is two weeks after my 1st smiley (or I get another smiley...). Then HPT to see what happens. In the meantime, still gonna BD every other night!!! Irregular periods can be so frustrating!!!

wow... ok.. i didn't know to look at the strips to compare.. just thought you get the smiley face and that's it..?

You don't have to really. The instructions tell you not to worry about that. But I can't help it lol. The last time I got my smiley the 2 lines were definitely the same in intensity. I guess I'm looking for similar results.
 
cd18 and no smiley face yet :nope: And the faint line that I saw yesterday has disappeared completely! My ticker still says 6 days until ov, but it's so damn frustrating!! I'm going to run out of test sticks at this rate!

Kitteykat2010 - I find it hard to test in the afternoon as well due to working full time. I'm not office based either, so I'm not normally near a toilet at the same time every day! And the chances of me having had nothing to drink 4 hours before I get home are slim to none...:dohh:

Here's hoping to see that smiley face soon.....we BD'd last night just in case :winkwink:
 
Good luck, Katie! After my smiley I've only had negative OPK's. I have no idea if it was a true smiley or not. Oh -- I found something online last night when I was bored. Something called saliva OPK's. You can reuse them! They track estrogen which apparently gets in your saliva. I have no idea where to get them though as I've never even heard of them. Probably amazon.com.... where I get everything else! :)
