CD8, Day 4 of Clmoid and a Positive OPK?!

Ok ladies, this is the weirdest thing in the world. Today is day 8 of my cycle, I started clomid on day 5 (so tonight I'll take my 4th pill)...this morning on my OPK I got a smiley! AKA A POSITIVE! Luckily I peed into a cup this morning so I was able to retest and when I did it changed to negative.

After taking both tests out of the thingy, I examined them and they dont look that different.

What in the world is going on?!

I would suggest testing again then call the number, if you another negative, they will figure it defected and send you a brand new one.

You're not supposed to take OPKs until you've had 4 clomid free days. They interact with OPKs and give false results, so that will explain why your getting positives before you've stopped your monthly dose

i guess this is a pretty clear sign that im new to all of this. my doctor assured me of the same thing. thanks for your help! and for helping me in my moment of insanity!

We've all been there with wild moments of insanity, me more than most, you have nothing to worry about!

In fact, when I first started Clomid even after being told not to do OPKs because it causes false positives, I found myself doing it just to see if they were telling the truth! Just like I can't resist poking a object with a 'wet paint' sign on it
