My bmi was and is over 30. My Dr never once said anything about it. No high risk classification, no extra tests etc. The only time the subject was even remotely brought up was when I was concerned I had lost a lot of weight by my standards (13-14 pounds) from week 7-24. My Dr very politely said that it was a good thing when I had a bit extra to start.
She was right with the 10ish pounds thing Dr's recommend when you're overweight but there's a million better, nicer ways she could have broached it.
Totally within your rights to find a new Dr and tell her to stuff it. You're not obese, you're probably barely considered overweight. Find a Dr who is supportive not judgemental. Xo
