Hmm that's interesting re: 4DPO bleeding. I do remember hearing ovulatory bleeding is possible, but I wouldn't imagine it to be red/pink four days after O. Brownish, if anything. As for IB, I recently read a post by someone that said they looked into implantation stuff and found that the studies on which the whole "implantation happens from 6DPO onwards" thing is based actually found 6DPO to be the earliest day that a sensitive preg test could be turned positive, so they concluded that that was the earliest implantation time. But we know that implantation happens a little while before, so this poster was adamant that it must mean that implantation earlier than 6DPO is completely possible. I have no idea how true all this is, but it sounds fairly promising.

And thanks for the hugs. I see soooo many repeated CPs that I'm almost entirely convinced that's exactly what will happen. And it seems like you guys get a good amount of vac days, so screw Easter

That's interesting, Jezika! After reading your post I did some searching. I found a post by a woman who talked about spotting at 4DPO (reddish/brownish) and later updated that she had a BFP. There were 2 or 3 people who responded to the post with similar statements, that they also had spotting around 4-5DPO and ended up with BFP.

I did some research and found that a blood test can pick up pregnancy as early as 6DPO. If that's the case, I think that implantation must have the possibility of occurring earlier, although probably rare. I did see two different women post that they got a faint BFP at 5DPO - which surprises me.

Now I wis hI hadn't done any looking.... I'm going to regret this if I have got my hopes up.

Hi ladies, and happy Easter!! this is my first time posting in a long time, after month upon month of heartbreak.
We started ttc in May last year, and my cycles were getting longer and longer, upto 50 days, so my gp referred me to an ob/gyn, I went and saw him and he said I'm not ovulating due to cysts on my ovaries and that I would need surgery to remove them, then I would need ovulation induction after that cos I'm just not releasing enough lh to mature my eggs.
I got my last period on the 18th of February, and had my surgery on the 25th of February, he removed a 5cm cyst from my ovary, did a d&c, flushed my tubes, just a general clean out. He said my cycles should go back to normal straight away and that as soon as my period comes I'm to start taking Letrozol on days 3-7. Fast forward to day 39 and still no period, I thought I'd take a hcg test this morning, and you would not believe it, 2 pink lines showed up!! We weren't even trying this month because of the surgery, we didn't think it was possible. I'm seriously shocked right now!
Hope all your Easters will be as wonderful as mine has just started off!!

Jezika - obviously I've had a loss but not a bfp since (yet!) but I imagine being nervous/anxious is completely normal. I think once you've had a loss the beauty and joy of that bfp is tainted a bit. It's not the same. But try to think positive, easier said than done I'm sure, but you'll worry yourself sick otherwise.

Angel my temps are doing the flat line kinda thing. I've never had it before but then this is only my 4th cycle temping. It's annoying me, making me think that nothing is happening!! I also checked my thermometer and it is working. The spotting thing - I sometimes spot at 2/3 DPO but it's only when I wipe / in my cm but it sounds like you had more than that? I also had IB at 11dpo and there was no missing that! I'd say it's unlikely to be IB but doesn't necessarily mean it's not happening.

So here's something strange... AF was supposed to be here 4 days ago, still no show. I've got discharge from the Monsel's paste they put on, but no blood. I'm not taking anything to make my LP longer. I'll wait until Wednesdaay, maybe it's just the paste is blocking everything, but if not, I'll take a test. Maybe 11DPO was too early for their test to pick it up?

That certainly is interesting, Abennion! Do you mean they tested for preg at 11DPO? Maybe I said this here before, but I read on FF lately that of thousands of charts where women got BFNs before BFP, 80% of BFNs happened before or **ON** 11DPO, so it's definitely possible. Last cycle I didn't get BFP till 12DPO. Fx!!

They tested before I went in for my procedure, due to the fact that it is a traumatizing procedure for the cervix. They don't really want to be the reason a pregnancy terminates, right? I figure I'll give it another three day, then I'll test if AF still isn't here. Not getting hopes up though. The chances are very slim.

MrsUnicorn - My temps staying flat are doing the same thing to me - making me think nothing is happening. I had a spot of blood (small spot) when wiping. When I checked CM there was a couple streaks of blood in it and then I checked again and got quite a bit of blood (pink though, not red like AF). Yesterday I didn't have any real spotting but had a spot when I wiped once. And today no spotting and CM is mostly dried up but did get a spot of blood this morning. When I say spot I literally mean a small spot on the TP. May be nothing, it's just odd for me.


abe - did they do a blood test or just urine? My dr has said more than once they don't medically consider us to be "late" until AF is 7 days late, and prefer not to test until then because it could take awhile for a positive test. I wonder if there really is a chance.

They just did urine. I've got light bleeding now, but we'll see. It could just be from the LEEP.

Abe- it could be something to do with the procedure that's delaying things! Hopefully not, fingers crossed!

Angel - some ladies were telling me that they had flat line temps with their bfps. Not that I'm convinced I am, but it's good to know it doesn't mean the opposite! They are a bit on the low side in general for me, normally up at .70/.80 but I'm taking them at different times, anywhere between 5.30-7am. Feeling pretty out this cycle anyway. Not sure why but I'm in a bad mood about everything. Has your spotting stopped?

Mrs. U - Cycles following a MC can be a bit wonky. Most women wait a cycle in between before being cleared to TTC again. Don't worry too much about your temps this month

As for me AF did show, no way of denying it. Just looked at FF to see what kind of chances we'll have once my three week wait is up (they make you wait that long after a LEEP because they don't want to risk infection). We don't even have a shot in April. I'm due to O the day before my three weeks is up. I guess on to May?

Abennion - Is there some way you could ask the docs if you could BD one day early in light of you O-ing? The 3-week time period probably has some leeway just to be safe, so they might give you the go-ahead?

They're fairly strict about it. I was even told I couldn't use a diva cup for three weeks, let alone BD. I hear in some countries the recovery time is around 4 weeks. My guess is that it takes the cervix a while to heal. They did scrape off a whole bunch of tissue and then cauterize it. I don't even know if I want DH near my cervix until that three weeks is up

Abe - I was cleared to TTC again. They said the only reason some docs say to wait is for dating purposes alone. Theres no risk. I guess I thought as I o'd (wasn't sure I would) that things might run as normal afterwards. Oh well, like I say I'm pretty sure I'm out anyway. Sorry af came, and that's really rubbish about timing for next cycle. I'm sure it'll be worth it. X

Abennion - I see, I see. That's definitely a bummer, though hopefully you can use this time to relax without the pressure (if that's possible!) and get back in the game next cycle.

Unicorn - what makes you think you're out? The flat temps alone?

My temps are still up there, got a little rise today (instead of staying flat) which was nice. Have a very strong urge to test this cycle, but managed to avoid it this morning. Not sure how long I'll make it though.

Mrsunicorn - My spotting stopped, seemed to just be that one day and then the one little spot the next. No sign today. I did some searching on FF for "flat temps" and found a LOT of people with flat temps after O who had BFPs. There were some that didn't, but a lot of the ones that didn't only had 1-2 flat temps or had flat temps pre-O, whereas a lot of the ones that went for 4+ days of flat temps ended BFP. Unfortunately now that means my hopes are up!


Abe - after my Colposcopy (not quite as invasive as a LEEP) I had to wait 2 weeks ish before anything, and TBH I didn't want anything or anyone down there before then. Your cervix is going to be sensitive, you'll want to let it heal. I think I went 3 weeks just because I was so very swollen and sore for a long time. Hopefully you heal up soon. Sucks about April, but you'll be well rested for May.

Jezika - I dunno. Maybe it is my temps. Not because they are flat, although it's really wierd for me, but because they are lower than my normal post o temps. How are you feeling / coping?

Angel - are you going to be testing before af is due?

I keep comparing my symptoms with my bfp cycle too and that's not helping. My bbs don't hurt - bfn they always hurt earlier than this, bfp later in cycle around 9/10 DPO so it was a big sign. But my skin is ok, I broke out terribly from 1 DPO all the way to about 6/7 weeks! I think it's just that this is post mc and things haven't settled yet. I'll still be testing fri/sat as I hate the not knowing.

I'm trying to hold off until 10dpo. With both my cps I didn't get BFP until the night of 10dpo. It's really hard to not test! I will prob give in tomorrow or Thursday.

Aw thanks angel. And you I'm a terrible obsesser! Was chatting to DH last night and he was like 'oh I was just thinking there's no chance this month anyway' I wish I could be like that.

Yep I was the same, an v v faint line at 10 DPO. I'm itching to test now but my ICs are in the post! It's a good thing, I know there's no point yet.
