Talk to me about Christmas Eve Boxes -

- do you do them?
- what type of things do you put in?

I have brought a lovely wooden Christmas Eve box for my two (DS 3 & DD 2) and I thought it would be a lovely new tradition that their elves (who arrive 1st November) would leave them a Christmas Eve box

I am a tad excited about Christmas this year as they are both old enough now to get excited about it and I just cannot wait to see the excitement & wonder in their eyes :cloud9:

I am thinking:

- New Christmas PJ's
- Reindeer food?
- Christmas dvd?
- Christmas book?

anything else?

We also have a plate for Santa snack & drink & reindeer carrot

I'm doing it for the first time this year and I'm putting in:

- new DVD
- book
- baking mix
- board game
- various treats for the whole family
- face and hair masks for me and SIL :haha: why shouldn't we get something too haha.

I'm planning to have the box waiting for ds on Christmas Eve morning and then we can spend the day doing the cupcakes, watching the film, playing the game etc. I would put pjs in too but he already has too many sets otherwise I would.

I just love the excitement and build up so we actually do two....

1st December
Advent Calendar
Christmas Jumper
Christmas PJs
Paint your own Christmas decorations
Christmas mosaic set
Chocolate coins

Christmas Eve
Reindeer food
Santas magic key and plate
Book
Dvd
PJs (for all four of us)
Chocolate/Sweet treats

We have one Christmas Eve box which has stuff for all three boys in, they have:

Christmas blanket and teddy each (brought this a couple of years ago and they come out each year so not new ones all the time)
Christmas pjs each
Reindeer food (1 pot each)
Magic key (1 each)
1 Christmas film to watch before bed
Christmas snack to have while watching the film
1 Christmas story for the older two
1 Christmas board book for ds3

I think that’s all we have in ours

We have Xmas pyjamas, an Xmas book (Dear Santa this year), a Happyland nativity set (from last year) and this year am adding an Xmas choc. Love the idea of a baking set-will have a look for something.

We will have:
PJs
Sweets
Reindeer dust
An activity/craft

... they also get a small present from Henry the Elf as it's him who leaves their boxes!

Yes I am having the Christmas Eve box left by the elves too (they have one each )

So far I plan on:

- New Christmas PJ's (ordered)
- Christmas DVD
- Christmas story
- Reindeer dust
- Christmas treat

I am so excited :haha:

They will get a DVD between em but not 2

I love doing the Christmas Eve box! I don’t know what to put in for Niko this year though! Maybe just a cuddly Santa/reindeer toy or something along with new pj’s. He can’t really have any of the fun stuff yet!

I usually do 2

Dec 1st box that our Elf brings and usually contains stuff from previous years, plus some new bits -

All the Christmas books
Advent calendar
Christmas crafts/activity books
Maybe Christmas jumper/clothes (last year was xmas themed gloves)
Christmas shaped cookie cutters

Christmas Eve box -

Chocs/snack
Reindeer food
Polar express dvd
Night before christmas book
Santa's plate and cup
Another xmas craft activity

I do a xmas eve bag for each of the girls (just a small xmas gift bag each) that contain new pyjamas, some chocolate or sweets, a bath bomb/crystals, an activity book or something similar, a small present (usually a toy) and a little bag of reindeer food. They all get their own of each of these. Also they do get a new dvd but only one so not in a bag, I just show them it.
