Christmas thread when?

Oh I hope my studio book comes soon! Love their Christmas bits. Need to order a personalised tree dec for the new baby as I only just ordered the 4 of us one each last year

I was just looking through it before DS4 got in and realised that the boys all had matching, but slightly different personalised stockings, so they are the same design but one has Santa, another a penguin etc but next year I'm going to need a new stocking. It was hard enough finding 4 the same, let alone 5.

My two have minnie and mickey stockings that the disney store no longer sell
So no chance of getting one of those for DS2! Will probably end up buying new for all 3 of them.

I'll get a babies 1st Christmas one first, so I'll have an extra year to find matching ones. I still put the boys 1st ones up as decoration every year anyway.

Those going to Orlando you have to do the reveal for the main Xmas present ! That would be amazing for them !

I also love the studio book . I don’t really get anything anymore but do love the Xmas bits and bobs ! I need new personalised decorations this year to include DS !

The girls have personalised Xmas stockings getting one made for DS this year . They are red with a reindeer on the front with their name in gold . I love them ! They also have one they picked themselves and I always put up their my first Xmas ones ! Will have to get DS one and a first Xmas bauble for the tree ! I already have a list of new decorations on my phone !

Good idea I've seen some great reveals online but already spilled the beans to mine, just got too excited! I'm going to do holiday related stocking fillers/small presents though I think, got some minnie ears, socks etc already.

I have almost caved so many times haha!
I think I’m gonna do the same with the holiday bits.

When does the grotto usually get opened? Im so desperate for it now.

I swear it opened mid August. I remember posting about my son's birthday gifts and his birthday is at the end of August. I'm itching to see all the toys on this list! I love Happyland but we don't have it here in Canada. I always look forward to seeing all the neat toys you have there!

I’ve starting buying a few stocking filler bits today
Make your own slime kits, minecraft mini figure blind bag and some of those sheet face masks in monkey and fox designs thought the boys might like them as I’ve only ever saw very girly ones. All home bargains. I’m glad they are back at school so I can sneak bits in my basket without them spotting them!

Just had a look on the Studio website and think I may need a catalogue now, love the llama paper they have but don't want to buy any just yet.
Regarding stockings, mine all have them with their first initials on from Matalan but it was a few years ago I bought them.
Also not xmas related but can't help but notice how many ladies on this thread are expecting or have had new babies since last year's grotto so congratulations to you all! My youngest is 3.5 now and starts school nursery tomorrow, feels strange and kind of bittersweet that the raising babies/young toddlers part of my life is over now but 3 is definitely enough for me

Their paper is such great quality too. Some papers from card stores and things on the high street tear as you're wrapping, but I don't have that problem with studio paper.
It's weird when the littlest ones go off. Thank you.

All of the Christmas stock is being brought out at work. I have 3 maybe 4 things for xmas. Unsure whether to put the other away or give for DD1's birthday. They're free too as I've been an authorised product tester (naughty me ) also have one of my nephews presents sorted.

Where is the grotto? I have a feeling it won't be here this year and we'll have to bombard 'General Chatter' as a whole.

Came looking for the grotto...I thought it was open by this time??? Oh, well. Most stores around here either already have Christmas out or are putting it out now. My 6 year old and I went into Lowes (a home improvement store in the US) today and they had a couple Christmas trees up with lights and some of their decorations out. My daughter said this was her favorite time of year. I don't think she understands that it's still 3 months away! LOL Oh, and it's still 98 degrees F here. Bring on some cool weather and Christmas!!

Any reason why the grotto wouldnt be opened this year? I don't even want to think about it possibly not being opened. Its become a massive part of the exciting mummy side of Christmas for me for the last few years, sharing all of my buys and looking at everyone elses. The suggestions and beautiful festive photos, secret santa, I love everything grotto ill be so sad if it doesn't return!

Oh don't say that, we need the grotto. I remember one year they decided to open it later as they said it was too quiet in there in the beginning and people lost momentum or something. But most years it has definitely been open in September because I've had ds2 and ds4 birthday ideas on my lists which are both in October.
