Popping over from second trimester to share some information

If you have CIGNA insurance it's very easy to obtain a breast pump

Contact CareCentrix directly - they are the only company that contracts with Cigna for breast pumps: 877-466-0164

The earliest you can set this up is 2 months before your due date.

Request an electric pump if you want one - otherwise they will send you a manual pump

Electric pumps are for you to own, they are not rentals.

You will not be able to choose the brand of pump, you will get what they have in stock.

They will give you a fax number. You or your doctor will need to fax in a prescription. Your pump will then be delivered.

It seems to be that simple

This actually depends on the plan (as I very unfortunately found out with my current insurance). Definitely worth a phone call though!

Really? When I called CareCentrix they said that all CIGNA plans cover the pumps. New policies have made it mandatory for all insurance companies to offer breast pumps. I wonder if this does not begin until 2014.
