CIO Support Group

I have to get Daisy to fall asleep in my bed then move her into the cot, not hugely practical!! Plus she turns one next week so dont want to be still doing this til she is 5!

yep I think the younger the better doll, I am glad this has been brought up again as I am about to try round 2!

Daisy is a total nightmare to get to sleep so i have to do something, she has started waking up at god awful hours of the morning now too to play! ;dohh:

I think I will try tonight and see how we go!

This wkend we are gunnna be all out of routine so i will join u monday try and support each other ...ethan is 2 and screams for 15 mins every bed time :dohh: but i kno its only 15 mins so it dont bother me no more ...i just would love my evenings back she as been asleep next to me since 8

LOL Serina, I chickened out tonight so you and I will go all out with them on Monday! I will let Daisy have her last weekend of sleeping in bed!

Deal ....her routine is bath 7....massage 7:30 bottle 8 then bed in her own cot will be 8:30

Daisy's usual routine is bath at 7 then bed by 7:30.

She woke up at 4:30am to play this morning and I jsut left her then she started crying really loud so i would lift her out of her cot.
I tried to leave her for about an hour, going and puting her dummy in then getting back into my own bed but she was just getting louder so I had to lift her :dohh: I knew it was just crying for attention because she was stopping every few minutes to listen for me then screaming again! Plus when I went over for dummy checks she would start smiling and put her arms up, so I think I will just put her dummy clip on next time.

I am really determined though, I have to get her out of this waking through the night it feels like I have a newborn again!! Although they are easier :winkwink:

Roll on Monday!

Hey hun do u think getting rid of dummy may help ? only a suggestion cos Ethan didnt sleep thru until 4 months ago when i made him go cold turkey without his dummy ...drove me mad waking cos he had lost it

i think im going to have to try this as emelia is 13 wks and i have to rock her to sleep give her dummy about 20 times takes 2 hrs some nights.
also wont nap unless rocked.
what do i do just put her in cot and then let cry or keep getting her in and out contrlled crying?

See, I thought about this, it would stop me having to go and put it back in! I stopped her having it through the day and she seems fine so I think I might give it a go this weekend without it at bedtime. x

Hiya!

I wasn't sure what the difference was but I think the controlled crying is when you go back in every now and then to check on them.
I have heard that the crying it out works alot faster (where you leave them to cry)

Daisy used to have to be rocked to sleep too, now she has to be a cuddled in and one of us lying beside her in my bed then we move her when she is sleeping.
I wish I had done it when she was 13 weeks, good luck if you do decide to do it!
We will be here if you need support!
