Cleaning equipment

When I start Ruby on solids I hope to make lots of homemade food for her...at least while I'm on mat leave anyway! I was just wondering about cleaning the equipment though. Obviously you can't sterilise a chopping board or a saucepan?? Also my hand blender won't go in the dishwasher. Should I buy a new chopping board for use only with Ruby's food? (i.e no raw meat).

What do you lot do?

I dont think you need to worry about sterilising weaning stuff, As long as you wash it up in nice hot soapy water you'll be fine. I dont sterilse any of our weaning stuff. I worried about this too at the start. I think you only really need to sterilise milk bottles.

Yeah I agree. Hot soapy water should be fine for everything except bottles.
