I have been using the clearblue digital OPK for 2months and have yet to get a smiley! Although the instructions say you can test anytime of day - I have read that the surge is less likely to be detected first thing in the morning and you should test later in the day?

Has anyone used these tests?

(I have a 27-29 day cycle and am on day 12 so far and no smiley - been using cheap OPK tests later in the day too - incase i miss it!)

Hello :flower: the actual cb instructions say fmu is OK so I either use that or test at 9am (because I get up in the night to use the loo). Hope that helps x

I too was told that it is best to test in the mid afternoon. My Dr. told me I should test from noon on. Just to test it out, I tested in the mornings that I knew O should be on its way and then again in the afternoons. My morning test came up with the empty circle, and my afternoon test had the smiley.

I started using them this cycle as well. I started testing in the morning, which turns out to be the worst time to test. I started testing around 8:00 pm and just got my smiley face yesterday. Good luck to you lawbra

I start testing on CD 10. I also use FMU. Once you see the line getting darker, test twice a day.

I use FMU on the Clear Blue and have been getting smileys, its more convenient because during the day I drink a lot so my urine is always too diluted for tests.

Good luck!

I've tested with fmu, smu, midday and evening with cb digis. I do not think it really matters as long as you test at least once a day.

Try the same time consistently as some women have really short positive windows. It's also still early with a 27-29 cycle you could get a positive anytime from cd12-18. It depends on how long your lp is. Gl x

Where can you buy more strips for the smiley face clear blue?
xx

Vic - I dont think they sell the stick separately. You just have to buy a new box. I recently bought some off amazon...I used regular shipping and they arrived to me faster than it said they would.

In Taking Charge of Your Fertility they suggest right around 3pm. But I've also heard and read anytime after noon but before 8pm. I was testing once a day and that was at 3pm but I'm going to start testing twice a day as my O is near. So I'll do it at 1pm and 6pm. Just so I don't miss my surge.
