Hello Ladies,

After an Idea from a fellow Clomid First timer, I am starting this thread for all ladies who are just about to start their first round of Clomid.

I am on CD 31 and waiting for my next so i can start my 1st round of Clomid.

Please feel free to join in, it may be nice to get a group of us together so we can share our questions and possible side effects??

Who knows with any luck we can share some sucess stories too??

hi! I would like to join..I took clomid for the first time this month, took 100mg CD's 3-7. (Most people seem to start on 50 mg but my FS finds 100mg the most effective). Tomorrow is CD11 and I go for bloods and follicle scanning to see how I reacted to it...fingers crossed its good! Ive heard different stories...some people who dont have any change and have just 1 follicle and others that have 4! I ovulate anywhere from CD13-17.

I didnt have any side effects while on it, so was very happy as Id heard so much bad stuff about it.

good luck everyone! would love to talk to others, anyone else being monitored too? I know some people just take it with no ultrasounds etc.

Hello ladies I'm currently CD22 and starting Clomid on day 2-6 of next cycle. I'm 32 no children but we dh has low morph and motility! Really worrying about the side effects- particularly the hot flashes as I get them already! I have long irregular cycles so hoping that it will sort them.....
Got to go for bloods on CD21,28,35 of next cycle then I'll be back to see the specialist.

I'm a first timer, just finished my first round. I had headaches while I was on the pills. It did work however as I ovulated CD17 instead of the usual CD21-44 I normally have.

Hi Ladies Im taking my last pill today of a 2-6 cycle. (50mg) All appears well this end symptoms wise apart from the hot flushes! past 2 nights have felt like stripping off and sleeping on the window seal!!

Fingers crossed we all get our BFP's first time around!!! x

Hi girls.

I am in my first clomid cycle.

While on the tablets...
*Hot Flashes
*Mild headaches
*Thirst - Bad!
*Dry mouth and lips!

Prior to ov
*TERRIBLE pains in my ovaries. For 5 days. Made me cry!
*Meltdown crying
*Psycho mood swings

Post ov
*Very emotional
*still ov pains
*HOT!!!!! Burning hot in hands and feet.

You will find your temperature is higher than normal on clomid.

And Summerlily....you will get hotter after ov as the progesterone will increase your temp again so have water on the bedside cabinet and ice in the freezer

I hope this helps.

And to reassure others as I did savage. I am usually a terrible mid cycle migraine sufferer and I had no migraine this month. Oh and it shortens and lightens your periods too.

thanks ladies !! a quick clomid question !

ill be taking my last clomid tablet tonight but for the last 2 days ive had pains/niggles in my ovary area and around to my back in the same area. but my biggest concern is that i seem to have a HUGE increase in the cervical mucus/discharge that is down there!! its creamy but really quite wet ( sorry TMI) and ive never experianced this after a period before !

is this related to the clomid and normal ???

Hi Bradpittswife (great photo) same as you,but i'm 37 no children (yet) DH is fine, test appear to indicate that i have few to no eggs remaining. I have 3 rounds of Clomid but i've been warned chances are slim to none. still, never say never !! not yet anyway. looking forward to starting the journey with you.

Summer that will be the clomid hun. A lot of people dry up but I was the opposite and so were many I spoke too. CM should be good for your whole cycle - which is a good thing!

Hi Savage, I think I am 3dpo...not sure yet. I FELT pregnant yesterday. A lot of good signs including 2 almighty dizzy spells and heartburn for days now which I had continually last time I was pregnant. Still too early to tell though.

How is everyone else getting on?x

Thanks savage ! im thinking because it rained most of the night it helped!!

CJSG- Ive never had so much! haha and its not really like a cm theres very small amounts of CM but a lot of watery/wetness too it!! ( sorry again tmi lol)

other than that am doing well ! were opting for BD every other day till signs of ov then everyday for a while and back again !! sounds about right dosnt it? xxx

Hi there ladies. Am totally new to this kind of thing but if ever there is reason to join a group and find some others in a simliar situation then I guess ttc is it!

I am on cd13 today after having my first round of clomid. Blood test on Friday showed no ov yet so back tomorrow for next test and crossing my fingers for this one. My last cycle was over 70 days was normally between 27 and 40 days) and had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to check out why I've been having intense pain in both my ovaries (or in that region) since I came off the pill in Sept 10. They found nothing!

I guess that is more than enough information for one post so good luck to everyone and hope we all get BFP's soon.

I am going to be starting my first round of Clomid. I haven't had a real period since March (2 bouts of spotting in May) but since I ended up ovulating last week, I'm waiting for AF instead of taking Provera. I'll be taking 50mg CD3-7.

Good luck to everyone! I'm hoping we can all stick together and help each other through this. I'll be praying we all get our BFPs quickly!

all going well this end - the only major change that i have noticed is that theres not really any cm there but in my underwear theres the white marking were there has been a lot if that makes sence!! ( sorry tmi - yet again lol ) other than that my cervix is really high!!! having never really tracked my cervix im not 100% on where it should be !! but im on cd10 and its still really high up and has been since about 3 days after taking the clomid!!!

Hope everyone else is well!! are you eagerly awaiting af then savage ! before i tarted the clomid ive never wanted her to arrive so much! and typical... she was late !! lol.x

Summer your cervix will be SHOW when you are in your fertile period. Soft, High, Open and Wet. Your cervix shoots up high so that sperm can get to where they need to be easier and more quickly. A good time to start DTD - doing the deed! Good Luck!

Savage! I am CD24. FF cant pinpoint ov cause I didnt temp from start of my cycle. But my temp is right up there. Clomid has made it higher than normal. I am usually 98.4 but I am 98.96 and have been for 4 days. It would be nice to see it go triphasic which is a great sign for pregnancy but I am not hopeful this cycle. I have discovered some new symptoms of clomid that happen after ov...about a week after for me. Very cold shivers! And hot sweats! Enjoy

My other symptoms have been hot flashes, twinges and a stiffness in my abdomen, low back pain, a couple of waves of nausea, dizzy spells, headaches, heartburn, terrible hunger and the worst tiredness ever! Bloated and very gassy (tmi) I also think I may have developed a cyst from the clomid as I keep getting sharp pains in the right side over ovary and cant lie on my front so I'll have to keep an eye on that as I suffer from cystic ovarian disorder (like PCOS but one cyst that just keeps growing). I dont know if all these symptoms are clomid yet, or more hopefully if they are pregnancy. FX they are!

thanks CJS - I cant tell whether its to soft or open . its too high up lol. I thought that wasnt supposed to happen untill ovulation though? can clomid make you ovulate this early? its been all the way up there since i was taking the tablets !

definatly looking forward to the additional clomid side effects !! lol. have had some niggles in my left ovary today , am hopeing that at cd10 means im getting ready to 'pop'!!

Hun all I would say is why its up there make sure you are dtd every other day! Especially if you cant feel if its open. Or crouch and find your cervix that way. It is awkward but you may be able to feel the opening. If its soft its likely open or opening as well.

No you shouldnt ov now! Its 5-10 days after the last tab so could be very soon!xx
