Clomid round 2 anyone? :)

Mummywant2be- I am on CD 26, I dont think I will get a BFP this round so I haven't been tracking my BBT religiously and so far have had neg preg tests Thanks though, I wish it WAS my ) Why havent you told your mum that you are TTC? Do you think she will try to interfere?
My mother knows we are trying, I am really lucky because she doesn't offer advice on the TTC just listens to me complain about how unfair it is.
Elpha- Good idea to stock up on the CB digis while they are on special, maaaan they are so expensive! Here is Aus they are! A pack with the test and 7 tests is $70 here. Sad!!!! I am using the internet cheapies for now. Next cycle if i get a dark cheapie I will use a digi then.

Anyway, I am still here waiting for AF. Not long to go now

Success, ay least in my eyes. I had a 30 day cycle,instead of 42, and ovulated around CD16, better than the usual 21-28. So just having a pattern and strong OKs are great for me On CD 5 and 3 of clomid without noticeable side effects. I say som ages on the other profiles. Is anyone else's clocks ticking? If its going to happen, it has to be soon. Also working on acupuncture this round, but unsure when it should be done in a cycle or various cycles.

My clock is ticking! I will be 36 in August. I know a lot of people say that is still young, but maybe for a woman with no fertility issues. However, I have PCOS and my hubby is on the low end with his sperm count. His first test was below what they like to see, but his test a couple weeks later was okay. I definitely feel my clock ticking! When people tell me that my age does not matter, I would like to punch them. There is a REASON you are supposed to see a specialist if you haven't conceived in 6 months and are 35 or over!

I did acupuncture for a bit last fall/winter. I did it every week for about a month and a half, did not seem to matter the point in my cycle. It was relaxing, and my acupuncturist was very nice. However, it was doing nothing for me and he was not even using the fertility acupuncture points which I could vividly see on the posters in his office. That made me question what I was spending all that money on. So I opted to start putting more money back into my Health Savings Account for future fertility treatments. I thought the money would probably be better spent that way.

There are EXCELLENT acupuncturists out there though. I have friends who swear by theirs! I am just not as fortunate with the guy in my area. I mean, he initially told me the treatment would take 4 weekly visits... but then we just kept going. Just felt like he didn't know what he was doing. Hopefully you have a great acupuncturist and it is just what you need! I know the fertility clinic I will be going to after my 3 months of Clomid (if Clomid doesn't get me pregnant) offers acupuncture as well.

My Mom for the most part hasn't said much, but she did tell everybody at the doctor's office she works at. She told them all we were trying. My general practitioner is at the office she works at, so one day I called to check on my blood pressure medicine and when I spoke with my general practitioner she 'wish me the best of luck with the Clomid.' So I called my Mom and she said, well she is your doctor, I thought she should know! So my Mom tells all of her coworkers... which makes it awkward when I go in there for an appointment. Thankfully that is not very often!!! They are all smiling at me and asking me if I am pregnant yet. They mean well, but it sure gives me a taste of what it would be like if EVERYBODY knew! I also had a Facebook message from my Mom's cousin that works at the doctor's office as well. She felt compelled to message me because she had been through multiple infertility issues and 3 miscarriages before they adopted their daughter. So she wanted to offer her support to me and let me know she was available to talk if I needed it. Again, nice... but awkward.

I had a tubal reversal, so everyone including my coworkers (I teach at the largest middle school in my district) know that I am TTC, and they are a great support network. My mom on the other hand acts just like my mom, so she stresses out about me having a healthy pregnancy at 40. On top of the biological fact that I am 5'0" and my hubby is 6'5" if you can tell from our pic. I have tried to explain to my coworkers that 40 is ancient in reproductive years, but I look young, so it is hard too grasp that my eggs are old. A couple of gals are in their mid 30's and discuss getting pregnant with me. My advise is to start trying now, because those 5 years do make a huge statistic difference. But, it is hard for "outsiders" to recognize that ticking clock is a fact. I hang with an alternative crowd one of who is an accupuncturist, she has been studying up on not just fertility, but specific issues and pressure point. Another is volunteering to do rekki and massage therapy after hours. We are going to go all in for the next four months. Clomid is the only traditional medical option I am taking. I will update on the progress, but I am WAY excited to make it my summer job and so is my hubby

Elpha- OMG I think I'd murder my mother if she told everyone at work about the TTC! Yes she told your doc and thats ok but everyone else....really? Argh! Lol ! I hope things dont get TOO awkward for you! :S
3Mama- I've heard that acupuncture can be a great help with women TTC at a later age. Even if it's just there to help teach you to relax I think its a great idea. I will look at doing that too later if things take too long. GL !! )
I am currently on CD42. If you look at my FF chart you are wasting your time, I got depressed waiting for AF (STILL not here!) so I stopped temping this cycle. I know I should anyway but I am soooo not in the mood.
TMI but i started spotting just a little but that usually tells me my period is about a week away. All of a sudden after a couple of days, there is nothing at all. I am not PG, I have taken several tests just to be sure ( I knew 50mgs clomid wasnt going to work based on my blood test from last month's 50mg cycle, but JUST IN CASE...) all NEG.
I just want it so I can try the 100mgs. Im dying to see if thats my magic O number!!!
Once I get AF i will temp again, but til then, MEH!!!!!!!

hi Molly! i didn't really get too many side effect, just had terrible hot flushes and i was an emotional wrack..

I'm on cd 19 now..just waiting to see if it worked or not.

shoo and still no AF for you..don't you want to confirm with blood tests maybe you have a shy positive?just to be safe.

We have been at it for almost 18 months, and my friends do not recognize that 40 is ancient in reproductive years, because I look young, does not make my insides any younger. Although; I know that I do not have any fibroids or abnormalities, but they are still old. I am on CD 24 and 5DPO. Second round of clomid, but we will see. My charts are pretty useless they always look good and my temps stay up a couple days after AF starts, the only thing the BBT does is confirm O.

Finally got AF yesterday, so I have started clomid 100mgs today. Gosh i hope this works!!!
MummyWant- No side effects apart from hot flushes and being an emotional wreck!? LOL!!! Isn't that all the side effects! Lol! I hope you are feeling better, when are you testing?
3Mama- my mum says 'You are only as old as the man you feel' so if both u and Dh feel young that goes a looong way and yes, you are 40 but women do get preganant at that age. Dont give up yet!
