Do you find once crawling / walking leggings / jeans etc are better for LO than dresses?

we found leggings and romper suits were best for crawling, he would crawl straight out of jeans and trousers :haha:

Paige wears leggins almost everyday. They are much more practical and comfy than anythimg else, and very stretchy which helps when they try to climb up silly places etc. She does occasipnally wear a dress, but i dont tend to put them on often and i dont think it would be comfy to nap in? I personally wouldnt like sleeping in a dress so dont see it would be any different for lo, lol.
Leggings all the way here =) (you can always add a pretty top etc to make the outfit more 'girly' )

Dresses for us are for special occassions.... Lucy lives in leggings and tracky bottoms or as my hubby calls them 'adventuring' clothes...

I used to love putting my LO in dresses, and then she learnt to crawl so from 7 ish months until 11 months she wore hard wearing trousers! Ruined sooo many pairs but wearing a dress is ridiculous whilst crawling as they trip over it. The minute she learnt to walk I put her back in dresses!

Leggings! I do like dresses but they definitely don't work well with crawlers :haha: & jeans seem to slip off a lot.

Leggings with pretty tops were all dd lived in for a good few mths. Now she's walking she's back in dresses - but because she also likes sitting in mud or crouching down to look under things I often still stick the leggings on just to protect her skin a little bit.

:flower:

We are big fans of leggings/jeans/trousers here. And little shorts for when it's hot! So much easier for climbing/running etc. I do still like to put her in a dress now and again though...not that we have had the weather for it :(

Leggings for crawling. My daughter was a bear walker instead of a knee crawler so we needed tight fitting leggings to keep her from walking on the bottoms when she moved around. The constant position changing, up, down, sitting, cruising, crawling made anything else a pain as the pants would always fall down and get walked on. Once she started walking dresses and jeans were fine.

I don't find skirts or dresses a problem unless they're long enough for her to get caught up in them. She does wear a lot of leggings or jeggings though, I think it's because I rarely wear skirts or dresses, so subconsciously dress her the same, lol.

I liked jogging bottoms when Kian was learning to crawling he's now fine in anything , jeans, chinos, shorts, joggers, dungarees etc x

Esther has always worn dresses alot. She took so long to start walking after she learnt to crawl that if I hadn't put her in dressed she'd of not worn one for 8 or 9 months. Dresses never seemed to hamper her at all but we did put her in trousers/leggings. Once she started walking I started putting her in dresses most days. I would say she usually wears dresses 4 or 5 days a week and trousers etc the other 2 or 3. I also dont do dresses that are just for best-she'll quite happily run around in the garden wearing Monsoon dresses!
