My son who is 8 weeks old has been diagnosed with CMPA and lactose intolerance the same as my older son. The consultant has tried him on Aptamil Pepti 1, Nutramigen and Nutramigen AA but he was still ill with it until he was switched to Neocate, since then he has been a different baby. BUT The GP is now telling me they wont prescribe it due to their funding even though the specialist has told them that they need to. They said its the funding for the whole area but I have heard from many people that they get the milk prescribed no problem. They told me the only way is for me to purchase it at £50.94 for a small 400g tin, which last approx 2 days! :nope: So I have started an online petition that I am going to present to the GPs on Monday, we already have 340 signatures and would be very grateful if you could sign it and ask as many friends/family as you can to sign or even share it on facebook etc. Its not just for my family but for others too that will have to go through the worry of buying the milk when its un-afordable.
Thank you for reading this

It wont allow me to post the link to the petition page, but if you search 'go petition against charging for baby prescriptions' in Google it should be the first on the top of the page and starts 'We, the undersigned, call on the Oxfordshire health service (NHS) and Oxfordshire PCT to stop charging for medical infant formula and ...'
Thank you all for reading and to all that have signed
