My 6 week old girl is really suffering from colic, she was getting Aptamil, changed to SMA to see if it made a difference, but to no avail. Was giving her infacol and gripe water.

The Health Visitor saw her on Monday and put her on Aptamil Comfort milk and Colocynth granules. This seems to make her more windy?? Shes farting loads more and is in pain doing so. She is screaming all day and night and im really struggling. I want to give these new things a chance to start working, has anyone had any success with either or both of them and how long did it take to see a difference?

Have you tried switching bottles? That can help a lot sometimes.

Yeah I think you should change bottles! what are you using??

I changed my possum to Playtex Drop-Ins and will never ever use a normal bottle ever again... she barely cries at all now...

We were using Avent bottles, and we kept changing formula trying to find one that made her feel better, with no success. Changed bottles, and she was a totally different baby!

Hope you find something that works for you! xo

Im using Avent Anti colic bottles and teats, just had to go and buy the bigger teats because of comfort milk being so thick. I was going to try Dr Brown bottles but apparantly they dont work well with comfort milk because of the thickness

My LO was realy colicky and i switched him to Aptimil comfort and also started using colief drops in every feed. I noticed an improvement within about 4 days and now hes no longer on colief drops only occasionaly.

My main weapon though was a drop of aired water and although I may get slated for this, it was slightly more than aired, obviously not piping hot, but a tad warmer, and rubbing his belly. Id find that within about an hour of having the water and the constant rubbing of the belly he would fart like a king and fall fast asleep.

I also started making his milk warmer as well.

We tried the Dr Brown Bottles and to be honest, I think there over rated. I had difficulties with these and eventuly went back to tommii tippee, but then by that stage he was over the worst.

We are using Colief. It has worked wonders.... :)

My baby had colic all day and night and I mean 24/7! He had a cows milk protien allergy and changed the second his milk did xx

My baby had colic and we were using anti colic teats. Gripe water or gripe tea helps :)

Nothing helped us except changing bottles, we had tommee tippee ones with anti colic teats but bought the anti colic bottles with the stem vent inside like Dr Browns

We've been using colief for about 3 weeks and our LO has been great. We had a day off it at the start of the week and he was horrendous for 2 days afterwards, so we're back on it again and hes settled back down. Give it at least a week and hopefully youll see a difference. We also switched to MAM anti colic bottles
