Comments on the Royal Wedding

Can I ask you ladies....if you don't mind. Kate seems to have a very thick British accent. Does everyone speak that way?

She has a typical accent of someone who has had elocution lessons/ berkshire accent. Where she went to school there is a massive divide of accent, people either speak like her or more somerset (ie. russel howard's accent)

She has the same accent as my sister who goes to boarding school a few miles from marlborough college.

I dunno, when she was saying her vows I didn't think she sounded particularly posh. She sounded like me (a Surrey girl). She may have moved her mouth in a different way (posher than me), but she still sounded normal.

You're right. It didn't appear to be as thick when she said her vows. But in all the interviews I've seen of her, her accent was thicker.

no not overly posh but she has most definitely had elocution.

The wedding was beautiful!! But Im mad at myself. I stayed up to watch, but at 3:30-ish AM I fell asleep..I don't know how b/c I was all ready to watch the wedding. I saw when Kate was pulling up to West Abby. And the next thing I knew, I woke up and the William and Kate were listening to the Pastor giving a sermon!

Im so mad!!! I wanted to see their vows to each other. I did watch the rest of it, and saw them take the traditional carriage ride to The Palace..and the kiss...and the second kiss..

My kids also watched some of the wedding before they had to go to school. I have 3 DD that just think they are princesses'...so this was amazing to them to see a real life Princess. Even my dh watched some of before he had to go to work.

Just a side note. My dh doesn't care for wedding...but he knew I was staying up to watch it. He asked me to wake him up at 3:00 AM so he could get some "work done" before heading into the office. Why on earth would he want to get up at 3 AM just to get work done, when he normally doesn't get up till 7:30 AM??? Its kind of funny that the wedding was just starting about that time!! lol When he did get up he watched parts of it with me.

Anyhow..I'm trying to figure out what did Harry mouth to William, after he turned around and saw Kate? Like i said I fell asleep during that time frame..and Ive googled it, but I cant seem to find it any where...

Beautiful wedding tho...for the parts I did get to see!
