Constant Nausea?

I spoke to my Dr. Even though the sea bands are working amazingly well, I still don't feel great and I definitely cannot eat anything. She is prescribing me diclectin and I'm excited after reading how much it has helped other women. Unfortunately it seems like it is only an option for us Canadian women.

Im taking diclectin now and I'm still feeling nauseated 24hrs a day, but a functionable nausea if I can say that. I find that the only time I'm feeling any reprieve is when my stomach is COMPLETELY full or if I keep nibbling on cereal alllllll day. And I don't have the patience to do that but I'm dealing.

i have been ill since 8 weeks pregnant..and now i am going on to week 13! im really struggling with the contant feeling crap every day every night! the doctor prescribed me with anti-sickness tablets that i found worked a bit for me! xxx

I'm feeling a million times better as far as the all day and night nausea but I've found the diclectin is really kicking my butt... if I thought I was tired before.. :nope:

I heard Zofran works wonders. Wonder if OH can get it for from work. It's safe for pregnancy, a common drug for women admitted for hyperemesis gravidarum, which is the worse nausea/vomiting condition during pregnancy. It's really expensive I heard. But if your insurance covers it, try to get it. I'm gonna try. In the mean time, I'm treating it with home remedies.

For the past few nights, I've been sleeping with a bottle of mint next to me. If I wake up in the middle of the night feeling nauseated, all I gotta do is pop that mint in my mouth and sleep. I go through 3/night and so many during the day. *sigh*

Also, there's an otc anti-nausea medicine called Emetrol. They're available at drugstores. Has anyone tried this?

 Girls ~ I had this too from about 6weeks until 10/11 weeks when it started wearing off :happydance:

It will get better :hugs:

It has been there all day, everyday from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed. Pregnancy has been so miserable for the past week and a 1/2 because of this. It has only been nausea, but not enough to throw up. Just a constant queasy feeling and I can't figure out what to do to get rid of it. Today it started easing up a little, but I have a feeling it will just be back tomorrow. :/ I haven't wanted to do anything and it is getting kind of depressing. Is there anything that could help ease it? I tried crackers, eating, drinking, sleeping, etc.

I know exactly how you feel. I've been feeling terrible for 3 weeks now. Constant nausea 24/7 , gas, bloating, a disgusting taste in my mouth, constipation & the other, and just generally feeling completely awful.

My mum suggested tonic water so I bought the low calorie shwepps one today and have had a couple of small glasses and I feel soooo much better already. I feel human for the first time in weeks.

My stomach has actually stopped churning!!

Some websites say to avoid tonic In large quantities but i only had a small amount and it'd really worked for me :) xx

Dicletin is really expensive too, I was really surprised! Luckily I only had to pay the dispensing fee as my insurance covered the rest.

That is because of the Quinine but it is already so diluted in tonic water I'm sure you'd have to drown yourself in it before it became harmful.

Peppermint or ginger can be helpful! I am planning on picking some up on my next shopping trip because I'm in the same exact boat as you! I feel so sick form the second I open my eyes until I finally fall asleep. I feel worse at certain points during the day, but never better.

I've tried crackers (which now make me sick thinking of them), water, reclining, walking around, resting, deep breathing, etc. Nothing works!

I think I'll also try "sea bands" which hit a pressure point on your wrist tht is supposed to help as well as some gingerale.

GL! I feel for ya! :flower:

Diclectin is just Vitamin B6 and doxylamine. You can at least get the Vitamin B6 without a prescription.

This AM I had horrible nausea and saltines with peanut butter took it away almost immediately!!!

Ya they say the diclectin will do that. But it's only supposed to last a week or so. I saw the doctor today and she said I can bump up the number of pills I'm taking from 4 to 6 a day. I'm just hoping it doesn't knock me out completely cause I'm already napping at work as it is lol:sleep:

I'd rather be falling asleep than dry heaving and wanting to die from the nausea. :)

Lol Skadi...I feel the same way. But I try to take a walk during the small moments that I actually feel a LITTLE better.

They gave me the pregnancy lollipops, which is all vitamin b6. that's neat.

I've tried crackers, but not saltines so maybe I'll try that. And I think I'm allergic to peanut butter. Every time I eat it I get acid reflux type stuff with stomach pain. Wish I could find my cure!

I'd have to agree with you. I fall asleep a lot on purpose just for some relief. Really hope it goes away soon!

This nausea is killing me. Just making me really hate life right now . All I end up doing is sitting or laying down just trying to exist without puking. Tried to have some toast with milk this morning, came up right away. Everytime i try and eat, i wanna puke :( Gonna try some soup later and see how that goes.
