Coronation Street

I'm back ish ladies... Been a tough few days, emotionally unsteady at the moment!

Anyway - Corrie, It's been ok, I didn't get that emotional with the whole Tina thing... but fancy Norris saying those DVDs were from him....

Hope you're all ok girls xx

Ryan tells Katy that he has arranged to meet the club promoter he was texting. They'll see each other at a bar later. A suspicious Katy later heads to the bar, where she finds Ryan flirting with a woman. Making a point, she introduces herself as Ryan's girlfriend, which doesn't go down well.

Back on the street, Katy lays into Ryan, accusing him of being a love rat. Has Ryan got any answers?

Meanwhile, when Sinead tests Ches's feelings for her by asking to stay the night, will Ches be able to prove he's over Katy?

Elsewhere, Nick and Leanne make up, but the fault-lines remain. When the Gazette arrives, complete with a report on the raid at the Bistro, tempers soon fray again.

Also today, Paul is worried when one of the parents of the hoax callers lodges a formal complaint against him. He's facing charges of aggressive behaviour.

Finally, Tim takes a shine to Sally, while Carla is worried when she looks at the accounts for the bookies - which leaves Peter stewing.

Coronation Street bosses have announced that East Is East star Jimi Mistry is joining the soap's cast.

The actor will begin filming with the ITV show in September, taking on the role of Gary Windass's old friend Khalid.

Khalid - or Kal for short - is an ex-squaddie turned personal trainer, who has been tipped to set "tongues wagging and pulses racing" on the cobbles.

While show bosses aren't giving away any storyline details, Kal has been billed as a charming, roguish character. He also has a wandering eye and might upset some of the street's male residents.

Coronation Street's producer Stuart Blackburn commented: "I'm thrilled to welcome Jimi to Coronation Street. With credits that include East Is East, The Guru and Blood Diamond, getting him on board is a real coup.

"Jimi's character is going to have a swift impact on the lives of many in Weatherfield."

Mistry, who also previously played Dr Fonseca in EastEnders, will appear on screen from November.

Loving the David storyline atm!
Also feel so sorry for Tina! x

I like evil David! Just hope he doesn't do anything TOO evil though!!

Paul has had a stressful day - he's under investigation for his run-in with the hoax caller and could lose his job. He heads to the pub for a game of darts with Steve, and it looks like his luck has changed when his final dart wins the game.

Unfortunately, the dart falls from the board and as the two men bicker about who's the winner, Paul tells Steve to 'play the white man'. Lloyd is horrified and accuses Paul of being a racist. Will Paul apologise for his comment?

Meanwhile, Peter insists to Carla that he's going to turn things round at the bookies by offering the most competitive odds in town. It's a desperate move and Carla knows it, but outwardly she backs him as the locals place their bets.

Elsewhere, Sinead is now convinced Chesney still has feelings for Katy. Realising how much he's hurting her, Ches apologises and admits that he's struggling to move on. An understanding Sinead says goodbye, insisting that he knows where to find her when he's ready. How will Katy react to news of their split?

Also, David is frustrated as Nick and Leanne reconcile.

Finally, Rob is not enjoying life as a debt collector until Tracy offers to help spice things up.

Coronation Street airs these scenes Friday 12 July 7:30pm.

bevsibubble thanks for those spoilers!! very interesting!!

As Paul and Lloyd lock horns, Jason dives in to prevent a fight. Paul is demanding that Lloyd apologises for calling him a racist, but as most people side with Lloyd, a mortified Eileen drags Paul home where she and Jason take him to task.

At the same time, Lloyd opens up to Steve about the racial abuse he's suffered over the years. It's something he feels strongly about, and when Eileen tries to defend Paul, a row brews between the two friends.

Meanwhile, when Steve places an accumulator at the bookies, Peter stands to lose a fortune if he wins. As it goes down to the wire, Peter is as pumped on the adrenaline as Steve is. However, when Rob points out that Peter is turning into a gambler himself, will Carla start to worry?

Elsewhere, Katy calls on Chesney and throws herself on his mercy. She apologises for hurting him and begs for another chance. Part of Chesney is still angry, but part of him wants this more than anything. Will the pair reconcile?

Also, as David helps Kylie look after the Bistro while Nick takes Leanne away, he seizes the chance to up his secret revenge plan. Heading behind the bar with a malevolent smile, what will David do next?

Finally, having witnessed how many people fall foul to debt collectors, Tracy has a business proposition for Rob

Coronation Street airs Friday 12 July 8:30pm.

Peter is determined to turn his business around and apologises to Carla, assuring her that he appreciates her help and intends to put the bookies back on track.

When Carla then hands Peter the day's cash for the till and Rob makes a dig at Peter, Carla unleashes her fury on Rob. Peter's had enough too and later goes after Rob, clearly in a threatening mood.

Meanwhile, reminding Rob how she promised to match his money, Tracy pulls out an envelope full of cash. Rob is impressed, but where has she suddenly got thousands from?

Elsewhere, when Roy shows Hayley his aromatherapy candles and tells her how important it is that they lead stress-free lives, Hayley is forced to agree, hiding her worries.

Also today, Norris is proud of his new found status as a home-owner - that is until Emily bursts his bubble when she hands him a pile of household bills.

Finally, Paul and Eileen feel like social pariahs on the street.
