Hi everyone,
We recently moved from one borough to another still in the same county.
I phoned my old borough just before moving to let them know and they said they would send me the closing balance.
Well I've received it saying I owe £141!!!
Well I've looked back over my previous receipts and I'm actually owed money from the council tax.
Council tax can be either paid over 10 months or 12 months... Well I paid the amount what would of been for 10 months over 12 months as I wasn't told feb and March I didn't have to pay so I paid for. 2 full months when I didn't need to!!
When I brought this up with them ovr the phone they got rather shitty with me tbh
So it turns out I don't owe them money they infact owe me money
How do I go about sorting this out does any one have any experience with this please xx
