Hello!! Noah is one on the 16th Dec and I will be going on to cows milk, however if I finish a tub of formula a week before would it be a massive problem for him to have cows milk a week early? It seems daft to buy a tunic formula and waste some but not sure on ang possible issues. Noah was a week late so if he'd been on time he'd be one on the 9 th anyway?

TIA XX

Hey hun, Sam went on to cow's milk at 11.5 months as I was going to wean him onto it slowly, but within a couple of days it was clear that he much preferred the cows milk to formula and he consumed a lot more of it.

One week really won't make a diference in my opinon! x

If I were you I'd start introducing the cows milk gradually maybe just 1 bottle on the first couple of days then two bottles....u get the idea :) this way he will get used to it and hopefully not have any upset tummys

Thank you! That's a good idea I'll certainly try that xx

i cant imagine a week makes much of a difference x

A week won't make any difference at all. Like the others have said though, a gradual switchover is a good idea, or LO may get the trots! If you do that what's left of the tub will last longer too. Dylan was only having 2 bottles a day by the time we were switching, so we swapped 1oz per day in each, until it was fully cows milk.

We started introducing cow milk at around 11 months to replace his afternoon milk feed. He still gets cow milk & formula feeds, Once we'r out of formula we'll use toddlers milk & cow milk (but Omar is an exception as he just started to have his teeth 3 days back & he needs the extra vitamins from the toddlers milk at this stage) xx

I was asking something similair about how to switch over the other day lol

Our LO's are nearly one!!!! :sob: Im going to start to introduce it slowly in the next week or so a couple of oz's at a time especially as he seems to be going through some kind of mad growth spurt past couple of days!
