C's Christmas Journal/Lists

Ordered some designafriend outfits and accessories from Argos. Going to get the teepee tent thing too but can't afford it just yet x

Sorted out my auntie and cousin. Got them both a reed diffuser for £2.99 each. It's not much but we only buy small token gifts usually. :)

Its still nice to be thought of and included, thats the main thing, not what you spent

So glad I got those Argos bits the other day as price has gone back up.

DH and I spoke about the Christmas tree last night. We got a real one last year and it was lovely but we're going to get our artificial one out this year and do alternate years. I love the real tree but it was huge and messy. It's good to vary things a bit each year too.

I'm 'working from home' this week so going to start the Winter clean/sort out. Go through and tidy kitchen cabinets etc, give them a clean etc. Another list to follow and tick off (I love a list)

Glad you got them before the price went back up!

That's a good idea doing alternate years :)

M&S food is online and available to order. Mmmmm
Still not sure who we have (if anyone) for Christmas, though I want to book the slot asap!

its so difficult not knowing what the rules will be then too

It is. I've no idea what we're doing for Christmas this year and if we are able to spend it with family or not.

We dont usually see people on Christmas day, but we have a meal with my mum, a meal with dh family leading up and then bil will drop presents round Christmas eve. My mum might be having presents delivered straight to me this year as theres no point them driving for hours if they then can't come in and we can't go out.

It really is. We've lost nearly the whole year to this blood virus

They've missed out on so much. It's really sad :(

We usually don't see anyone Christmas eve/daybut I like to know we have some nice food in anyway and M&S is my Christmas treat.
Although past two years my BIL and his partner have come to stay which is lovely. They usually go to Thailand. I've asked him and he said it's too early yet

We go to my parents boxing day or the day after but there's 7 of us (including my 90 year old nan who had a fall this year). I hate to think we could possibly miss her last Christmas because of the stupid rule. If they excluded kids it would be fine. She's actually in great health it's just physically she is struggling so could have a few more years yet (feel terrible wording it like that)

Mother of boys with your brood it must be even harder :-( Hopefully things will look up in December x

Yeah its been made really difficult because we can't even go out for a meal as a family from one household with there being 7 of us. It would definitely be easier if they excluded small children like they have in other parts of the UK.

I really hope you don't have to miss Christmas with your Nan, it's a really worry.

I thought if you were a large family you could still go out for a meal/socialise etc as you're the same household? .... ridiculous if you can't all go out together

Restaurants etc will not book for a table of more than 6. So we are technically exempt because we are from the same house hold, but no one will book a 7+
I'm in a large family group on Facebook and people who have tried have been told they will have to book 2 separate tables and they cant guarantee those tables will be anywhere near each other. One lady was asked to prove that all the children were hers before they would let her book soft play!
