Curious about nursery, please help

Hi there,
I've got a couple years till my daughter will start but my friends little boy has just started so got me thinking lol
I know she will able to start nursery at age 3 but she would be 3 ( 1/8/13)
But as she's in august when would she be able to start? Would she have to wait till September?
So confusing

well for the goverment funded place they start the term following their 3rd birthday unless you pay for them to go sooner, Nate will start in September and hes a June baby

Think that's really unfair as she will most likely be put into a class with kids who have already been there for a while :/

if she goes to a pre school then all the children will start in the september, like they would at school and if she goes to a private nursery she will most likely be with all 3 year olds or 3 and 4 year olds.
