Cystic hygroma anyone??

hi all

I am really sad and staying strong at the same time writing this post but I found out as per my 11 weeks scan that my baby has cystic hygroma which they found is 4 cm and they want make sure by another ultrasound
And my Down syndrome result isn't back yet

I am really worried guys give me some hope

Hi Pearly. I went for my scan today and had the same thing... A measurement average 3.4 with some as high as 3.9mm. Done the blood tests today and seeing. A fetal specialist tomorrow. No other soft markers were an issue, so I am hoping for the best.
What happened with you? Xx

Hey xuxa,

I know it's so scary to find out something like that but thankfully fluid in my last scan and the previous one cleared on its own so I guess I blame the ultrasound tech they dint perform it well, also it was done when I was 10 weeks so my thinking is it was not the correct time to do the nt scan , moreover my test result for downs came negative so that was another positive thing but still I am with my high risk ob just to make sure further monitoring is under his guidance and he told me to book for fetal echo too which I have at the end of the month as they say cyctic hygroma affect heart so fx for that which m pretty sure is completely fine

So from my experience hun just wait for ur downs result if that comes out to be negative it will be a great thing and also the upcoming scan I hope and wish the fluid clears as it does in many cases too fx for u hun and keep me posted!!
