d&c help

Hey sweets,
When I had my erpc I had very light bleeding and no real pain just a light period pain the first day..
A d&c is slightly different i think as it involvesd scraping the womb, tomorrow they will just use suction although i was told they may do a d& c like procedure, its just so they remove everything and get you back to normal.
Everyone is different but as i said ur dr will have done this many times before and it will be over before u know it..
Id def agree and say have a few days off, not just physically but mentally u need a rest..
your saying goodbye to ur pregnant state tomorrow and im sure even though u knew something wasnt right u will need to grieve the baby you thought u were going to have.
I was very afraid this time as i began to bleed heavily and i then passed huge clots followed by my baby in a clear sac. You will have experts with you all the way through and dont be afraid to ask them anything thats worrying you.
Life well life throws shit at all of us doesnt it? Its how you deal with it that makes u a stronger person.
When u go onto have your baby your going to love it in a way that women who havent been through this will not understand, what im saying is your babba will be very cherished and u will get there hun. hopefully so will I :)
be thinking of u xx

Thank you so much girls. You're all so brave! They say that they only give you as much as you can handle, that explains why theres so many fantastic and caring people on this forum. I pray im as strong as you guys. :hugs:

I just realised the procedure I had is different to what you are having (I had D&C) but I would still advise you to take some time off for you. You're right, there are so many brave people on here, this is the first forum I've felt a connection to. We have to be strong, because one day we'll be rewarded and we will get the babies we all deserve, whichever path takes us there. Good luck xxx

I hope you understand how much youve helped me. Thank you so much for explaning things and putting my mind at rest. I was worried about the bleeding carrying on for weeks and feel much better knowing that it may not. I know it must be hard for you to talk about things when its all so fresh.
We'll both get there hun, your little boy is so lucky to have you for a mummy.:hugs:

Knowing ive helped you feel a little less stressed about things makes me feel a lot better. I know in time you will also be able to offer advice to other ladies feeling the exact pain that you feel now.
You have been through so much already and this is the final hurdle and then you can start to think about the future.
You may feel like you want to start trying again straight away you may feel like you need a few months to just get back to being you and accepting whats happened.
It is hard, especially as it happened to me twice (most women go on to have a healthy pregnancy after a miscarriage - so thats good news for you! :) but Im blessed to have a family that I love very much so I try and stay strong for them.
You will never forget whats happened but look forward now hun. everythings going to be ok.
Be thinking of u tomorrow, although youll be fine hun, on to your next journey then. xxx

I had no physically pain or problems. The most for me was mild period cramps and spotting. :hugs:

Just wanted to send you a hug and say my d&c was the best part of that whole tragic episode. It has made me feel better than I otherwise would, i think. I wouldnt want to do it any other way and was suggested a d&c by a friend who did the medical option and regrettet it. I too, had no pain after (huge before) and very little bleeding (so much so bd 4 days post d&c!!) I got af 5 weeks later, im a 31 day cycle girl anyway, so not that bad, and my period, although heavier than normal and slight more cramps wasnt terrible and lasted the same number of days as before.

You will get through this and be assured you will, with time feel like your old self again..i wish you all the best, bunny!!

Im so sorry for your loss and take care, sweetie, xxx

hunny, hoping ur ok.. xx

Im doing ok thanks hun, just didnt feel ready to come on here.
All went fine, just very very tired and emotional. Had my first day on my own today and i think its done me good.
Im not sure its actually sunk in properly yet.

Thanks for all your help girls.

I know I felt like that but talking to people who truly understood/understand helps me as my friends bless them just cant relate to my situation.
I had a very thoughtful day today thinking about both pregnancies, its not just losing baby its losing your dreams isnt it?
take it slow and we are always here if u need us..
xxx
