December 2017 Testers: Hopeful for Christmas and Year-end BFPs

Hey ladies I actually O’d early (for me) on my own as this cycle was supposed to be monitored but it was cancelled due to new endometrioma cysts forming. At any rate, AF is due December 1! I’ll probably test before then lol but that’s my official in or out day :)

:hi: Hi, everyone! I'm back for another round. Currently CD2 of Cycle #4, praying for a little Christmas miracle. Put me down for testing on December 14th, please! :)

Hi Blo, So sorry about the emotional roller-coaster you're on today.

I did a SHG (saline and ultrasound instead of dye and x-ray) last cycle, no effect on my cycle.

Thats exactly what I will have (they call it hssg here). Good to know that i will still ovulate normally after that. :hugs:
FXed we don't have to go into the new year without being pregnant :flower:

Oh okay, all these funky names. lol The catheter is pretty uncomfortable. I found it pretty painful coming out. But the good new is it's super quick, doesn't last long. They told me I could spot the rest of the day and the following day but I didn't have any spotting. I had no blockages but did learn I have a tilted/retroverted uterus.

Indeed we are! Woohoo!

Thank you all, ladies. FX we all get our beautiful little Christmas gifts.

Msharp11686, not really sure if temping will work if you work day/night shift since it should be taken at the same time (+/- 15 mins is ok) with at least 3 hours uninterrupted sleep for your temp to be reliable. How is your cycle? Are they fairly regular or not?

Hello,
My cycles are fairly regular. I have been keeping an ovulation type app for over a year and it says my cycles range from 28-31, so average 30. I can get three hours of uninterrupted sleep a day it just might be in the afternoon or in the morning that I would be taking my temp. Is that an ok thing to do? Or would I be messing up due to the time of day I would be testing? Also this might be tmi, but Tuesday morning I had a large amount of jelly like clear CM(I seriously only get the jelly-like two or three times a year). Today around 6p my lower abd was very crampy (to the point I put a heating pad on for comfort). My DH and I only BD on Tuesday afternoon and this afternoon, so far. Do you think I missed O, since I seen CM on the same day as BD? It had been 8 days prior to Tuesday:dohh: This time he fell asleep:haha:
Just wondering what everyone thought about CM before, during or after Oing.

3 hours sleep is ok but i have never tried to check my temp after taking a nap for more than 3 hours in the afternoon to see if my temp is closer to my morning temp. I still think it will be better if it's on the same timeframe. But you can try maybe a 3 hours sleep is what's needed to get the resting temp. But if you get an erratic temps after few days maybe this is due to timing of temps. Regarding CM, they say watery and EWCM are fertile CM which is due to oestrogen.... Once oestrogen reached the peak point, your body will produce the LH (detected by OPKs) and Ovulation will follow within 12-48 hours. If your not temping and not using OPK, it's better to BD when you see watery and ewcm. This cannot confirm O though. FX you caught that egg.

Also, you seemed to have a regular cycle I'd say your fertile window is from CD12-CD17 so :sex: within these dates increases your chances of conceiving. When did your cycle start?

My cycle started Oct 30 this month. My app said my fertile window was Nov 8-13. CM on the 14th thou? My husband and I were not technically trying this month due to CP last month. So if it happened it happened, until I got the huge glob :haha: That would be the reason for not BDing during my so called fertile window according to this app. I'm questioning that app a lot now due to this finding. Last month was the only month I had ever used O tests due to using clomid. Got my + and had already been BDing and continued for 3-4 days after so all bases were covered :happydance: so I thought:dohh:
So BD on the 14, 15 and 16 for me. Who knows I guess:wacko: I am planning to test early now. I just can't help myself:winkwink: Will do one on Nov. 21. This will be 7dpo. If that is negative I will be waiting till Thanksgiving or after. Do you think BD on the 14, 15 and 16 would be sufficient if I dropped an egg on the 14th or would it not give the little:spermy: time to get there??

I'm worried as well that we might miss O waiting for CD19 to begin DTD or a +opk. Still hoping O will happen from CD19-23. Your DH may be exhausted but I'm sure he is having fun. :haha:

Gonna put you on to be determined then just let me know your actual test when O is confirmed.

Thank you for adding me! Yeah he's exhausted but I'm trying to keep quiet about when O is due as I don't want him to think it's all just something we have to do and take the fun out of it! Which OPK are you using? I have ic's plus a Clearblue one. Not even close to positive yet

I'm using Artron ovulation test midstream, they have the strips and cassette type as well but trying to stick to one kind of test. I used CB Digital, FRER and artron cassette type (loads of them ) before when we conceived, so now I'm trying to just use 1 kind of test. But worried that it isn't that sensitive meaning I'll only get positive so close to O like last cycle. It's 30Miu/ml, i need that level or greater to get a positive result.

Edit: Hmmm, now i'm confused. I searched for CBD advanced OPK and it has a threshold of >40mIU/ML for a positive result (peak).

The fastest swimmers may find the egg in as little as 45 minutes. It can take the slowest up to 12 hours. If the sperm don't find an egg in the fallopian tubes at the time of intercourse, they can survive inside you for up to seven days. About fertilization, it takes about 24 hours for a sperm cell to fertilize an egg. The same lifespan of an egg. So spermy and eggy should meet before the egg dies in 24 hours. This means that if you ovulate within this time window you could still conceive.

Ok. So just ended a very weird period today. Muuuuuuch lighter than usual. Cd 5 now and so the countdown to the big O begins. Something tells me this is going to be a loooooooong month. 😣

Hi Star... How long is your usual cycle? Do you use anything to track ovulation? Sorry if you mentioned any of that already in the previous posts.

Goodluck to you as well this cycle.

:dust:

I have a 29 day cycle with ovulation normally on day 15. I use opk's but don't do much else as I don't want the ttc to start feeling like work.

Yeah, it does feel like work trying to plan and time everything... But for some like me, that's what works for us, i mean better than not knowing what is happening. Just do what you think is better for you <3.

FX for you.

It's true. What works for one doesn't always work for another. I am just trying to take it as it comes. Don't want to give in to my obsessive nature because I can go pretty nuts when I start to obsess about something. 🤣

This whole TTC is real hard work.... Why oh why can't it be easy.
