***December Snowflakes 2012 Parenting***

:hugs: IST. Sorry your bean wasn't sticky :(

IST and Scooby, i love the updated avatars! Such amazing hair for both of them! Can't wait until gabby has that much hair.

Bean, glad you are having luck with the brushing! We have also been using toothpaste for babies (no fluoride), since she was about 14 months. She really likes it, mostly just sucking it off, but we use such a teeny amount. She will say 'ahhh' when i ask her to so i can brush her molars, but its literally about 1 second per tooth that i can get to brush, and then she just chews on it. the bristles are destroyed within about 2 weeks. sigh....

IST, so sorry to hear that :hugs:

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Yes, totally down to the chasing toddler(s) around constantly!! No new milestones or much to update tbh, Millie's development is coming on nicely, her speech is definitely progressing although not leaps and bounds, but Amber was the same so I'm not worried. This pregnancy is completely different to both of the girls', no symptoms at all but I'm just constantly tired  I don't know if that means boy, or just that different symptoms mean absolutely nothing at all, but I've booked in for a private gender scan so we'll be finding out this Tuesday :) so excited!

Hope you & all of your beautiful Snowflakes are doing good! x

Sorry IST! I hope you guys have success soon!

Scooby so lucky that your parents are moving closer! Enjoy it.

Lolly I can't believe you're almost 16 weeks! I think you're going to have a boy this time! Please let us know.

We had a very unpleasant situation today. Amber pulled a cup of boiling hot chocolate over herself. It happened so quickly. She has a blister on her chest but otherwise she seems to be ok. Thankfully I reacted quickly and got her under cold water and that really helped.

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well. I just wanted to check in and let you know that I got my BFP this evening! If my guesses are right I'll be due early April.

Congrats bean. Updates Angel is catching up to her sister fast she is 23lbs and 32". Talking loads. And putting words together. She copying all of her sisters bad behaviors. She is still my breastfeeding baby. Her hair is finally starting to come in. She's trying to cut her k9s. Onto Ella we have seen a big improvement on her speech since early steps has been coming once a week. She just started physical therapy on Monday and she will go every Monday. She's on a waiting list for speech therapy and occupational therapy. We just got referred to a developmental specialist. And the earliest appt they had was April 2015. She will be starting pre k under the disability act for free on her third birthday. We know she has something called sensory processing disorder. We think she has (even her early interventionist) autism. She could possibly have Ocd too.

Thanks for the update, bbygurl! Sorry Ella has to deal with so many issues. Since it is early hopefully they can be worked through fairly easily?

Gabby still doesn't have her canines either, but she is certainly drooling like she should. anyone else have a crazy drooly toddler?? Gabby peed in the potty for the past 3 mornings. We aren't potty training yet, but she wakes up dry, and wants to use the potty in the mornings, so i'm not one to stop her! She is enjoying saying all of the negative words, like stop, naughty naughty (think she picked that one up from daycare), no no, and not nice. She has also developed a weird obsession with motorcycles, and i'm not quite sure why since we don't have one. But she loves her 'mo mos'

Chloe I'm not actually sure how many dpo I am. I think about 14 or 15 but I can't be sure because my cycle has been so out of whack and I had no signs of Oing this time.

Bbygurl sorry you've had a tough time with Ella but glad you are getting help.

Amber is going for her first dentist visit on Wednesday. Apparently here in South Africa they usually only start going from 3 or 4 so they think I'm a bit strange for taking her now but I'd rather just do it now. I'm also going to go for a dating scan and a check up with an OB who is in the same building.

Early intervention is key. But not knowing why she has all these issues.

Is the hardest part. And if she needs more help if it's something that we don't know.

Hi everyone haven't been on here in well since amaleigh was born I think well just to let u all know I found out last night I'm pregnant again!!!!!! Yay!!!!!

Congrats sara! When are you due? I found out last week and I'm due on about the 9th April.

Hi Ladies!! Hope you all are doing well! I haven't had the chance to catch up yet but just wanted to say hi! We've been really busy - moved into a house and E is keeping us so busy. She is talking in sentences and has an opinion about EVERYTHING. I finally weaned her this week and it wasn't so bad.. i think I took it harder than she did. I'm so lucky to have such a sweet kiddo :)

Congrats to those who have bfp! We have been ntnp for a few months and may have had a loss last month. I'm finally sort of back on track so hopefully we get one soon!

Congrats sara! When are you due? I found out last week and I'm due on about the 9th April.

About the 8th if my workings out are correct, got my midwife appointment this Thursday and going to ask about early scan cz I'm very worried I had a lot of bleeding at the star of my pregnancy with Amaleigh so I'll see if they will let me have one sx

Congrats on the BFPs Bean and Sara! So exciting!

Sorry to hear your bean wasn't sticky IST :hugs:

Not much to update from me really. Camden is talking more and more every day, and we love having Ga-Maaaa and PaPa (that's what she calls them) nearby. If you remember my worries about her gait and her left foot turning out from several months ago, I'm happy to say I really don't notice much of that at all anymore. She's gotten much stronger and more balanced, I guess that's all she needed. At her 18 month check up (which we went to when she turned 19 months) she was almost 25lbs and 33 inches tall.

I'm kind of going crazy with my teenage stepdaughter home over summer vacation. She's been getting into trouble with sneaking out, stealing alcohol from us, lying about where she's going and who she's with, etc etc. She's been grounded from her phone, kindle, and her friends for nearly a month now. It's almost as much punishment for me as it is for her because she's bored and thinks I should entertain her. School starts Tuesday, hoooray!! She'll be a senior and is planning to go to college about 4 hours away next year, so I'm just hoping we make it through this year alive.

Hope everyone else is doing well! Here's a few pictures from our beach trip a few weeks ago.

Thanks scooby!

Camden is a real little girl and so cute! I still love her hair.

We have been having a shocking time here! First our flights back to China were filled with delays and rushing and just general unhappiness. The day after we got back Amber started getting sick and we went apartment hunting. Thankfully we found one. We moved on Wednesday and again we had a terrible time! Amber has had a fever since Monday. After two visits to the doctor and blood tests we've found out she has a viral infection. Thank goodness no antibiotics but we do have to give her two different fever medicines alternatively every three hours. After all the changes she's sleeping in our bed and most nights she awake from 1am to 4am. Not fun when I have to work!
Otherwise my pregnancy is going well. I had a scan today due to bleeding but baby is all fine and I even got to see the heartbeat. Morning sickness is starting to kick in now and I've gone off meat again.

Wow Bean, that sounds like a big stressful mess! Glad you got moved in ok. Being awake 1-4am is torture, I hope Amber is feeling better soon so you both can get some rest. Hope your morning sickness is short lived!!

Camden is such a little sweetheart, she looks so grown up!

Arghhh what a nightmare about SD  it fills me with absolute dread to think about the teen years we all have coming to us. I know I was a bit of a handful so I hate to think what karma has in store for me!

Well ladies, I'm so rubbish at updating BnB and in here, but we found out we are expecting baby girl no3 at our private gender scan 4 weeks ago! Honestly, I was a little gutted at first as I had really thought it was a boy and I knew OH quite wanted a son, but I was soon over that silly-ness! I had my 20wk anomaly scan today and they confirmed she's definitely still a girl and is absolutely perfect <3 here she is....

Not much to update on my December snowflake Millie. She's a pain in the backside most of the time :haha: she's very slowly but surely coming out of her clingy ways, which is amazing as it was quite tiring and she's opening up to others more which is good. Her speech is clear, but she doesn't say many words, I understand her and she understands me and that's how we get by! DD1 was the same though and I over panicked with her, was told by specialists not to worry and that all kids develop differently etc etc and of course, she now doesn't stop talking and could chat the ears off anybody within sight, so I know we have nothing to be concerned with with Millie!

Glad everything is going well with the pregnancies, Bean, Sara and Lolly! Sorry to hear about the virus and sleep issues, Bean. Hopefully now that all the change has stopped, and she is on the fever reducers, all will go back to normal!

Scooby, wow, Camden is turning into such a little lady! Its so hard to see that change with Gabby, probably because i see her daily, i feel like she still looks like a chubby little baby. She is almost 21 months already tho! good grief time flies! Sorry to hear about your SD woes. That doesn't sound fun at all. I do dread the teenage years....

Gabby has been growing and talking up a storm lately. She is putting multiple words together (hi kitty, bye mommy, one more bite, not nice) on a more regular basis now. Most of the things she says no one but me or DH can understand, but we do a pretty good job of communicating, so its working for now. She still has a pretty high degree of shyness in front of crowds, but she warms up after 20 min or so. She wakes up with a dry diaper in the mornings and when i think of it i put her on the potty and she will pee. but only first thing in the morning. she has zero interest in the potty any other time of day. I keep wondering when she will slim down, and when to worry that her baby fat isn't gone yet. me and DH are both quite thin, so it shouldn't be in her genes to be obese, but it's hard not to worry, especially when i see kids walking around who are 5+ years old and are clearly overweight. Makes me sad for them. I'll try to post pictures soon, i just got a new phone so i don't have any good ones on here.
