Dermoid Cyst

Thank you ladies for this post. I was told on Friday I had a dermoid by my RE and having been having sleepless nights about it ever since. My laprascopy is scheduled for May 18 so I am hoping everything goes well. I am hoping to not have to lose the ovary as my follicle count was already low. It looks like we may be heading to IVF anyway so maybe it won't matter all THAT much to lose an ovary - but it was especially nice to hear mothers conceiving on their own despite the loss of an ovary.

Quick question: Was it really a 2-3 week recoup time? Do you feel you could have started working from home after a couple days? I just started a new job in Nov. and really can't afford to take the time off right now.

Welcome to our little gang so sorry you've got a dermoid too hope everything goes well with your surgery :hugs:

I returned to work 2 weeks and 2 days after my operation but I'd say it took about another week after that to feel back to normal. I spent the first week just lying on the sofa but I got cut open a bit so im not sure if you'll be ok to work from home after a couple of days lu-is might be able to tell you xx

Hey ladies, old thread I know just wanted to know how you all are and how you are getting on?

Hope you are all well x
