When should one go to the hospital for the pain? I don't want to waste their time or my time but I am going crazy with pain everyday!! It's been the worst the last two evenings.
I keep considering going to ER then I decided to have a nap or go to bed and ususally when I wake up the pain is far less.
Though I can tell today won't be a fun day I woke up with more pain than I generally have in the morning. grumble grumble..
I don't want to be a nuissance to the hospital. and sometimes I'm worried that because of my high pain tolerance I won't know if something is wrong? (well aside from the fact that I have extra cells/body bits that shouldn't be there). Sorry.. just needed some advice and to rant or I don't know what.. my mind is crazy at the moment.

Sorry guys. Feeling less frantic today. I was so upset yesterday, I called the surgeon office thing and they said it looked like it would be about 3-5 months wait for my surgery. I only got put on the waiting list last week I guess.
I was sad.. then I called my surgeons office to check about my appointment for March 10, apparently it was cancelled!!! say what?!? this made me further upset, angry, and frustrated. Next available appointment was March 23. I'm going to run out of painkillers before then.
A little while later i called back to ask for the Dr. to call me back, they transfered me to another, much nicer lady. She told me the Dr was out this week but after asking me some questions sounded quite concerned and got me an appointment for Monday morning. (hooray!!) I'm hoping seeing the surgeon again might speed things up, 5 months of constant pain would be unbearable!! She was super nice, was even wondering/worrying if I could make it until Monday, she told me that if it gets worse over to the weekend I should go to the hospital.

Ooops.. Sorry again ladies, I just left a nice long post again. I'm feeling more relieved after that panicked message before. Thanks for listening.

yeah lu-is good luck for monday really hope they speed things up for you, the pains a nightmare ain't it ?

i thought i was going to have to go to the hospital this morning was in agony in work but its not too bad now, for some reason my cyst seems to like playing up when im working

has anyone else had weird af ? I had my week break from the pill 4 weeks ago had af then last week i had another af so decided not to have a pill break this week and now im getting a mini af since yesterday don't know if maybe the cysts doing it ??

Hi ladies, had my pre-op appointment today and i've to be admitted on monday, have the op on tuesday and discharged on wednesday.

Kaboom mine are terrible i used to be every 28-30 days without fail and currently i'm on day 42 so who knows hun i reckon they do mess with them x

af last week only lasted two days been away two days and has now restarted again today so thats four af's in four weeks now

not heard anything from the hospital yet really starting to get annoyed now

My appointment went very well today. The gyne is going to see if she can squeak me in for surgery on March 16 - I will hopefully find out soon if it's a go.
If that won't work, plan B is March 9 tacked on as urgent surgery at the end of her day.
Wow! I am so glad I went back today. She doesn't want me to have to wait in pain and mentioned that the waiting lists don't always get put in a good order for the patients' needs. So within a couple weeks I should be cyst free!
It's amusing that plan B is even earlier then plan A, but atleast it will be done soon!

I am supposed to be acting in a play the 17th-20th but I guess I've got to drop out now. I feel bad, but I really can't say no to a surgery date, that would be crazy!

Random - I'm so happy that you got your date coming up so soon. that's fantastic!

Kaboom - I hope your wait isn't too long I wish I could offer advice on the AF thing, mine have always been quite regular and painful. Never had wonky multiple periods.

lu-is thats fantastic news, got my fingers crossed for you, i read up and you supposedly they should offer a shot of lupotron?? if your wanting to TTC asap but i don't know how accurate that is

Kaboom i think you may have to get some hospitalizing pains in the near future??? then maybe they will bump you up, failing that come to RAH lol.

Blossom what is recovery like after the op?? my nurse says i'll be fine after a day or two?? is this likely? From what i've been reading (on google ) its meant to be longer than that and pretty painful

random - i had actually thought of going to the RAH as i work in inchinnian and i could just say i had bad pains whilst im there but im not sure if that would work ?? Don't even think it would be worth going to the doctors as my doctor is not exactly the sympathetic type

I googled middle cycle bleeding with cysts and it says cysts can cause too much estrogen to be produced and thats what mucks up your cycle ??

I've found when i end up back in the hospital they keep me in for a day then send me home, why not try visiting your hospital with the pains?? xx

I had the bigger op, so was in hospital for 2 nights after the op, and then at home I needed help with my baby (he was 6 months) for about a week. I found it tough bending over and lifting etc... I couldn't drive for 4 weeks. If you are having the keyhole surgery then from what I heard you should be ok after a few days. Do you know what op you will have?
I felt a thousand times better after the op, like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

I'm glad your home! How did it go? is the pain bad afterwards, or does the relief far outway the pain?


I'm going for surgery a week from today! yay!!! Did some Pre-op with my Dr. the other day.

I'm worried my DR. was trying to get a hold of me yesterday to talk about my bloodwork... I hope it's nothing that will prevent surgery next week.
