I need way more then I get that's for sure!!! I usally only sleep about 4 -6 hours because of bad dreams. It has been way less lately because the LO is teething and wants to be up at 4am!!!

On a side note: You can't pick a child's sexuality (even if born with both sets of reproductive organs)... you can't even pick their gender... What you could choose to decide is their sex. I had a teacher who was very adamant about us knowing the differences between sex, sexuality, and gender. Now I can't unlearn it! LOL

Sex - male (p) or female (v)
Gender - masculine or feminine... completely socially constructed and can change in other societes
Sexuality - heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, onward and upward from there!

For my question... How would you react if your child turned out to be something other than totally heterosexual? (homo, bi, trans, etc)

i would probably kind of be excited... that sounds odd, but i think my dh and i could be the best parents to a child who is lgbttiq2! haha... lesbian/gay/bi/transsexual/transgendered/queer/2-spirited) i am bi and my dh is about the most open minded person i know... i spend many years in queer circles of friends and working/volunteering for queer agencies and feel pretty prepared for whatever may come my way! i'd be a card carrying pflag parent

Yay for like-mindedness! I would also be excited about it. I wish all "lgbttiq2" children could be certain to have parents who would be happy to have them and excited to raise them in a loving environment. As I said in a different, less fun thread... I am a porn-watching, bisexual (usually prefer women, but hubs is my exception), cursing, Atheist who has a sick, twisted sense of humor! I'm pretty sure that all but makes me a terrorist in some places! LOL --- So, I wouldn't have much excuse for not allowing my children to be exactly who they want to be!

Awww... I'm about to sound like a terrible person... but I'd take out one of the very few people that I personally know and have on the short list of humans who shouldn't be allowed to breathe anymore. They truly are bad people though!
