Hi everyone,
DH and I have been TTC for alomost four years, 3 failed IUIs. We are dealing with MFI and cannot afford ICSI at this time. After a long break waiting to get into a Urologist, he finally had his appointment last week and the Dr. put him on Clomid 50mg daily for 3 months. Basically said, it might work or might not:dohh:. Just wondering if anybody else has any experience with DH on Clomid...wondering if it's another waste of time & money.

Mine is on Clomid 25mg/day. His count doubled in 3 months:thumbup:

Thanks Quaver! So I can hold out some hope? Did your DH have regular bloodwork to monitor his hormones? Tha is one thing that concerns me....this new Dr. hasn't planned any bloodwork just a repeat SA in three months.

No, DH only had the one. He had repeat SAs, and both were twice as much as the 2 before Clomid:thumbup:

Nayla's DH had only a couple of sperms https://www.babyandbump.com/ltttc-journals/497879-nayla82-new-year-2011-journal.html but after 2 months on Clomid, count went up to 2.5million https://www.babyandbump.com/ltttc-journals/497879-nayla82-new-year-2011-journal-11.html#post9464323

Good luck:)

OMG Ive never heard of this!!

Just wondering if it helps with motility or just count?

Wishing you both lots of luck! :dust:

I think it may be just the count, but twice the count = twice good :spermy:

Quaver - :haha: Just wishing I hadnt bothered taking the last lot myself now! :dohh:

Sambatiki I agree! LOL! All those rounds of Clomid I took to give his boys 'more targets' I could have squirreled way! Damn!!

Hi
My dh 1st count 100,000, 2nd with some lifestyle changes +maca+ multivitamin 600,000. Put on low dose clomid -5 mg twice a day 3rd count 6 mil. The last count was with strict criteria at RE office and morphology was 0. We are doing ICSI because of the morphology but we're very excited to have more to work with. The meds only cost us $30-40 a month so I think it's worth a shot.

Thanks, that is a big difference! I wish it was that cheap here for the pills though. Dr wants him to take 50mg daily...when I was on Clomid it cost me $35 for five pills (50mg) and my crappy drug plan through work will not cover anything fertility related or anything for my hubby. We are going to give it a go...just need to try few pharmacies and maybe Walmart to see who has the best price.
