Melt and pour soaps look simple enough. Just google for instructions. Basically you just melt base in pan or microwave and add smells and colour.

So i started my snowman soups last night but run out or marshmallows and choc drops! So they will now be finished money once I have been town, so just ordered my jars and epsom salts so I can make my bath salts and have also decided to make bath bombs aswel, and even hubby is going to help me. He thinks im mad, but said to him it makes things go quicker and gets me ahead before new baby gets here aswell

where did you order yourjars and epsom salts from? x

I just ordered my epsom salts and jars off ebay this morning so should get them hopefully by tuesday.

I have also decided upon bath bombs to make aswel after reading how quite simple it is, looking into things I can make using stuff from home

Wow these patchworks are beautiful :)
Katrina I can't believe you handstich yours, what patience you must have! It looks fantastic :D

I've just got my delivery of soap-making goodies this afternoon. Can't WAIT to get making some tonight.
I'll (hopefully) be making a Christmas Cake soap with cranberry fragrance, ground cinnamon, goji berries for exfoliation, brown colouring, and a marzipan scented layer on top with glitter 'holly' decorations.
I also plan on making 'glistening snow' - vanilla fragranced goatsmilk soap with iridescent white glitter swirled into it.
I've got peppermint oil and red colouring aswell so I'm going to layer it with the white and make candy cane soap :D

I have other ingredients to make just random ones too. Nettle and honey, rooiboos and chamomile (which smells like shit so I might have to perk it up with frgarance oil), and lavender.

do you have the link for how to make them hun x

I didn't follow a recipe but The Soap Kitchen has a good beginner's guide, and that link Tiggertea posted is good. Melt and pour base is the easiest thing in the world, you just make it to your own taste :)

I've just spent more than I care to mention on card making bits and bobs, after swearing I wouldn't get sucked in :dohh:
How anyone saves money DIYing I'd love to know

I would say maybe some cello wrap (you know like florists use?) tied up loosely. I could be wrong though!

I finished my in-laws mug hugs on Saturday. They're big tea drinkers so thought a new mug each and a hug to keep it warm was a cute idea.

ive ordered loads of cellowrap, tissue paper and ribbon off of ebay :)

I got some lovely jars with screw lids for 99p each, well pleased. Plus my epson salts arrived today, so only need my essential oils to arrive now then I can make them. Going to buy some christmas paper so I can wrap my boxes at the weekend and finally start putting them together

Sorry if it's already been mentioned- but what about the jars with the flip top? You know for bath salts and sweets and stuff. Can anyone recommend a place to get them? I need 12. TK Maxx had a few today but not enough.

Thanks :flower:

They had flip-top kilner jars in Home Bargains not long ago for 99p, not checked but they might still be in :)

Tesco have the 500g ones for £2 each. Nice cream ceramic lids on em too.
