Personally I hope it doesn't as I'd like to see LO's face at Christmas but I'm not so sure that it won't bother me.

I'd like to keep DD out of nursery that day and stay with her just in case but I have no holidays left and don't want to sound like a complete idiot for taking time away incase the world ends.

The world wont just "end" lol. Even without human race the world could exist without us. I dont think that is going to happen though, its ridiculous how out of hand it has gotten, sooner its the 22nd the better.

There are also inscriptions everywhere mentioning dates in the future (21 October 4772 AD for example)

The Mayans would have treated the end of the Long Count Calendar as we do December 31st!
