hahaha omg sounds like my oh, he gets all my stuff from poundland and im like...wtf?? he says oh id rather get you loads of little things than 1 or 2 big things :dohh:

I save throughout the year so in november i'll have £250 for presents, only have my cousins little boy to buy for child wise and obviously my LO! I usually spend what i've saved plus much more, i try really hard every year not to overdo it but i never manage, i love buying gifts lol
This year i swear i'm not spending any more lol she has so much already, shes very spoiled and like someone else said, she has loads shes not played with so its not worth it xx

thats sooo true!! i bought leyla tons last year, couldnt really buy naomie much cos she was only 3 months so there wasnt much shed have actually been able to use, i bought her random crap just so she had something and its pretty much all gone to waste!! the majority of leylas toys are sat upstairs, unpacked in the spare room, and she has that many down here that she hasnt even realised most of them have gone :dohh:

HAAAAA!! thats what adam says!!"woulnt you rather have loads of stuff then a few expensive stuff?" ermmmmmm no! id rather have thngs that i can gloat to family and friends about lol

Lol thats the thing with kids, my LO tends to play with the random, cheaper stocking fillers and ignore the more expensive stuff! Drives me mad, so i'm not going as mad this year, shes at that age now that random bits of make up and stuff is all shes asking for lol xx

I basically scrape all year so I have extra cash at Christmas,
so I've had my budget worked out since last January :D

I've allocated €650 for the two LO's. €60 for DH. €250 for food/drink. €40 for new decorations. €200 for our Christmas clothes. €50 on each set of our parents.
And €80 for presents for our nieces and nephews.

I'll have €120 left over besides that for anything extra I've forgotten about.

I don't feel guilty for spending that much as its the only time of year that we treat ourselves, and LO rarely gets new toys. :flower:

I don't have a budget for Elyse. I do make a list and try to stick to it though, I don't go nearly as crazy as some of the ladies on here, I'd say I'm somewhere in the middle by comparison when people have threads of what they've bought.

OH, not sure yet. I don't really have a set budget for his gift either, but usually I try to stay within a reasonable limit, I buy him a 'big gift' then maybe some clothes and a game or some sports merchandise lol.

We only buy for our parents beyond that, since we have no nieces/nephews. For my siblings, they buy Elyse small gifts usually, and I just usually give them money or buy them a bottle of liquor or case of beer lol. Pay for clothes my sister picks out maybe.. that's all they want anyway lol

this yr ive an extra neice and 2 of my cousin are having babies ( all in oct/nov) so i will get something for my cousins kids as it there first xmas, weve a teenager whos just so ungreatful so im not guna push the boat out as much there this yr ( he still has clothes from last yr with tags on and sold his xbox last mth  he'll be 17)
ive my boots points wot sorts my mam n dad out and done park this yr for morgan and extras x

For my side of the family:
Parents £20 each
Brother £20
2 cousins £15 each
Aunt/Uncle/Uncle £10 each
Granny £10

DH's side (feel bad as I don't tend to spend so much per person, but there's SO many people to buy for :( )
Parents £15 each
Siblings x3 £15 each
BIL/BIL/SIL £15 each
Nieces x 4 £15 each
Grandma + Grandad £5 each (I just get them box of chocs, nice soap etc.)
Cousins' children x4, £5 each
Cousins/Aunts/Uncles x 11 - I'll buy a collective Oxfam Unwrapped gift I think like I did last year on their behalf. I'll give them a Christmas card telling them the details of what I bought. Or perhaps a little Christmas tree decoration. Whatever it is it's only going to be £3-4 per person.

Other people to buy for are my friends' children, x3 £10 each.

Also need to budget for a tree, decorations and food/drink as I think we're going to stay at home this year. I'm hoping to keep the whole lot under £500 at any rate!

We have 3 niece/nephews so we spend £20 on them.

No real budget for anyone else, I just buy as I see and try never EVER to pay full price for something! x

No idea, I just buy it as and when and dont really add it up. I would say about £250 for each the kids maybe but dont have a set limit.

Last year I spend 40 on OH and he brought me a 500 camera. Opps.

This year I am thinking of getting him a experience driving day thing.

For the family I spend £50 on mum and dad £25 on sisters and about £20 on my nieces and nephews (oh and BIL and SIL).

I don't.. I've been buying for Lily since feb so shes probs gonna end up very spoilt! I literally only buy for my main family as don't really have friends that I buy for or extended family.. So will spoil my mummy & daddy too, & then I whatever my sis wants which isn't much.

We spend £50 each on our mums, £10 each on brothers and sisters and their partners, about £10 on each grandparent, £5 on nieces and nephews/cousins.

I never set a budget for Tegan because I always just blow it so I just pick some things I know she would like and buy those :) We always have about £100-£150 each too.

I never budget at xmas because I love to spoil my kids at xmas as they dont really get toys throughout the year.

I have 3 kids and altogether I probably spend about £1,500 on all three of them. about £50 each on our parents and £20 on niece and nephews.

me and my OH rarely buy for eachother as it goes on kids and decorating the house all christmassy :-) but this year we will buy eachother something x

Parents 50 each, grandparents 20 each, nephew, nieces and close cousins 10 each, OH about 150 and LO im not sure yet, last year nothing as he was only 2 weeks old and we'd bought a lot already and I spent a few hundred in the Next christmas sale. This year I am thinking 150 altogether but probably half of that will go into his bank account as cash.

we are spending quite a lot this christmas this year

MIL&FIL - £160 between them
Nieces/nephews £40 x2
Mum £60
grandparents £50 between them
odd people £50
DH £450
LO £150

don't know what DH will be spending on me

oooo just added up the total around 1000 plus food shop and petrol to travel to family over christmas

I spend:

Mam: £30
Dad: £30
Brother: £30
Sister: £30
Grandad: £5-£10 (I never see him but he always sends us £20 so I get him a little something)
OH: totally depends £50-£100?
I will also do a charity Christmas box for a local child (like operation christmas child) and I'll spend around £20 on that.

This year 2 babies were born to my friends bringing the total up to 6 so we have all agreed to just buy for their birthdays to help spread the cost. I will be a bit gutted not to buy for them tho, maybe I will just get them each a little something :)
