Does the name Emerson sound like a boys or girls name to you?

We like it for a boy. What do you think?

Boys, mainly because of the 'son' at the end. Madison is the only feminine name I can think of with that ending, whereas I can think of a lot more masculine names that end like that.

There are a few -son ending names for girls. Madison, Addison, Allison...

It feels more like a boys name to me too, but I still think it can work on a girl. Just like Ashley seems more feminine, but I won't deny it can work on a boy.
