I think the record of broken promises by the main three parties is legendary, in particularly how the liberal democrats have sold out on their every promise to get into power with the conservatives, here's some interesting articles for anyone thinking of voting for the liberal democrats to consider:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2010/nov/12/lib-dems-tuition-fees-clegg
So all in all the Liberal Democrats simply aren't a credible party to vote for. So how about the Conservatives and Labour party?
Well the Conservatives have a prior for breaking a Europe related promise, when he broke his promise for a vote on the Lisbon treaty:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2009/nov/03/david-cameron-lisbon-treaty-betrayal
Also Cameron has taken decisive action to bury his previous promises down the memory hole:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...oken-promises-from-party-website-8937435.html
Also during his time in office, whilst preaching to the world about how the UK supports human rights and how governments who aren't in support of human rights need to suffer regime change, the arms trade coninues to do a brisk business in selling arms to countries that have no respect of human rights. Cameron has done nothing to impose export restrictions on lucrative arms trade to regimes that has no respect for the rights of their citizens, here are the links that discuss the arms trade under Cameron's watch:

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...fire-for-selling-arms-to-bahrain-2218423.html
Meanwhile food bank use is rising at its fastest rate under Cameron (So all those dodgy arms deals are not a net benefit to the common man in the UK):

https://blogs.channel4.com/factcheck/food-banks-is-cameron-on-the-money/12486
So Cameron has a really dismal record of selling arms to regimes with appalling human rights abuses and also treating the UK people with contempt, so no I cannot vote for the Conservative party. The just leaves labour what is labour's record?
Well how about the Iraq war? Was this demonstrably in the best interests of the UK? If a straightforward case can be put forward that demonstrates the absolute necessity of Britain's involvement in Iraq and the scientific analysis the overall it saved British lives would Tony Blair not have proudly published the evidence, the deafening silence in producing such evidence shows that the Iraq war was a monumental failure, here are some news stories about this:

With such a disastrous history of killing our soldiers and killing civilians in Iraq, I would find it unconscionable to vote for them, even without exploring their economic history and the lax regulations that led to the bank bailouts and failure to prosecute the bankers that nearly collapsed our economy...
So having explored the main parties and found it impossible to vote for any of them, what is the best way to send the political establishment an unforgettable message that business as usual cannot carry on? It is to vote for a fourth party and to do so in a united fashion. The policies which are most important when voting are:
Withdrawal from "trade" agreements that cede sovereignty to multi national governmental entities and corporations, such as the European Union and agreements that allow corporations to sue sovereign states over legislation they pass with the consent of the people. I'm for free trade, but not for Monsanto being able to sue the UK government if they pass GMO labelling laws...
UKIP's pledge for a referendum on EU membership is a start in the right direction, as we want our politicians to take orders from we the people not from international organisations.
UKIP also pledge to give the people the power to call a referendum if sufficient petition votes are reached.
These two key policies are what is needed to bring back the legitimate power back to the people. I think the first referendum I personally would sponsor is to introduce the power to recall our mps anytime we like, so then they can no longer promise one thing and do another, now if anyone can suggest another credible party or group of independent MPs that will push through those two critical policies then I am all ears, but until then I will be voting UKIP!
