Have any of you done this? I searched a bit here and found donor eggs and IVF but not much here about donor embryos (or embryo adoption).

I'm 43 and have only had one BFP that was ectopic. Neither my husband or I are willing to do IVF here in the states - the financial / emotional costs for such slim odds just aren't worth it to us. I stumbled across embryo donation and have been looking at clinics in the Czech Republic. I haven't even spoken with my hubby to get his thoughts yet, but to me, this seems like a decent option. We looked at regular adoption and again, the waiting for years just doesn't appeal to us. I'm old and don't feel we have time for that. The more I look into it, the better it sounds. I already plan to be in Europe in April so maybe this could work? I suppose I should talk to him soon! I just wanted to have done some research first and maybe even narrowed it down to a few clinics. I've been to both Brno and Prague so either one is fine with me. Brno is probably easier as I have family near Vienna, but either one would be ok.

The time frame and price all sound good. I've read reviews online in both English and German and don't see any huge red flags, but I'd love to hear from someone who has done this.

Hi Peacenik, sorry can't help with Czech clinics, but recommend considering Polish clinics cause of the same level of success rates and prices. Check eg invicta clinics (gdansk) my friends underwent ivf treatment and have been happy with them.

Thanks Mslena. I did look at invicta and really liked them, but the changing political climate in Poland right now makes me nervous to commit knowing that laws may change down the road.

Hi.

I looked into Czech Republic myself. One called Reprofit was good value and also didnt need any tests done prior, and only wanted your blood type for embryos. So that kept costs down considerably. We are currently going down the frozen sperm/clomid route at the moment, but we will revisit it in a few months if its deemed necessary. Good luck xx

Hi, I'm no expert on these things, but check out this link eggdonationfriends com/treatment/embryo-donation/ which has some great info on embryo donation. Hope it helps

Hi, I was looking at going down this route and really liked gennet in Prague they have a blast guarantee for a little extra too plus money off for consecutive treatments (hopefully not needed but can be passed over to a friend) xx
