dpo vs. AF due date

all the hpt's I have picked up go by days before period for their effectiveness, but I have a 16+ day leuthal phase. what dpo should i start testing?

The common dpo for implantation is 8 dpo to 10 dpo so maybe 8 if you can keep buying hpts or 11 if you dont want to stress doing it every day but id say 8 is the earliest you could get bfp . Some are earlier but its not often
