Due date moved up

I went to my 8 week ultrasound on Monday and the baby was measuring a week ahead so they changed my due date by 6 days. Anyone ever have this happen? I have short cycles and I know i ovulated early that’s why I got pregnant. It’s just confusing. I was due on september 2nd now it’s August 27th.

You’ll know more at your 12 week dating scan but it’s not uncommon I thought I was 6 weeks and I went for a scan and was 7w1d. I went for my 12 week scan yesterday which I should of been 12w6d and they moved me forward to 13w4d. 12 week scan is the most accurate so I’d take it with a pinch of salt until you get your confirmed date

From an early scan at 6w to one at 12 weeks I went up 5 days

They'll properly date you at 12 weeks as that's when it's most accurate, but yes, with my first, my due date was adjusted by 4 days (this pregnancy only by 2 days though). When you ovulated, how long your cycles are, and how quickly baby implanted can all have an impact on how far along you measure, so it's normal for it to get adjusted a bit.
