Hello ladies...first of all let me say I am so sorry for all your losses. I'm sorry this is so long, but I have found so much support on BabyandBump, and it helps to just get it all out. Some of you may have seen my thread in first tri, but here's a timeline of what happened plus a little rant about the idiotic healthcare process too. At the end I do have a question.
2/14- got my first
and was absolutely ecstatic...
2/16- I began vomiting uncontrollably and ended up in the hospital for the night. I have a disorder called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, and I tend to get attacks during times of positive stress- hence the attack 2 days after my BFP. When they checked my HcG level it was 21. This was my first red flag as I was sure it should have been higher than that 2 days after the first BFP. The doctor made an appt with my doctor on 2/20 and another with an OB/GYN for 2/23, or so I thought.
2/17- I was sent home the next day as I bounced right back to health as I always do.
2/20- Doc checked my HcG level again and it was up to 62. Sigh of relief.
2/23- I showed up for my OB/GYN appt to find that it was never even scheduled. I was already there so I just had my blood drawn again. That afternoon my doc's nurse called to tell me that yay, my HcG was up to 49. I said NO, it's down to 49 from 62. She should have had these #'s in my chart. It seemed like I was the only one who knew something was wrong. If I wasn't knowlegable then I could still be sitting here thinking that everything is fine.
2/24- I had another HcG count and finally saw an OB/GYN. It was 25 and he did an ultrasound, which showed absolutely nothing. He said there is no doubt that there is some kind of "pregnancy tissue" there, but all my exams show a pre-menstrual uterus. As of now, I still have no bleeding or cramps, so I guess I just have to wait for it to happen.
Now to my question: he said it could take anywhere from 1 day to a month for me to start bleeding again...do any of you ladies have any experience with this? I literally have no cramping bleeding, but I'm retaining lots of fluid and I seem to have gotten my appetite back, which usually happens before AF. Waiting is the worst part...
Thank you ladies for listening and sorry this is so long, I wanted to just get it all out, this is kind of like therapy for me. Again, so sorry for all your losses, hopefully we can all help each other.
