Eggs Retrieved and Flights Booked

HI Ladies, received confirmation today that 5 donor eggs have been fertilised with OH's sperm so I have now booked my flights and the eggs will be transplanted to me on Friday. Have started on 400mg cyclogest 2 x daily.

Not really sure what to expect on Friday - I am sure it will be the same procedure as if they were my own eggs on IVF. Has anyone else gone through this - does the procedure take a long time - does it hurt (I hate even having smear tests). It will then be a long two week wait for the result. I am so excited and so nervous, really feel for everyone else going through this. xxxx

hi hun embryo transfer doesnt hurt its a bit uncomfortable and only takes about 10 mins no doubt you will be so distracted watching them on the screen you will hardly notice i was so emotional watching my baby embies on the screen, best of luck x

Thank you ladies. I am going to stay overnight in Spain and then fly back the next day so hoping that it will not be a bad thing to do - the clinic have said it isn't. I know I will be so emotional on Friday, especially as OH can't travel with me.

Hi there

Just wanted to say lots of luck for Friday. I live in Spain & also had DE treatment over here, which worked on the 2nd attempt (FET). It is the same as if they'd use your eggs & isn't painful, you'll just have to rest straight after for about 10-20 mins & then you're good to go. Lots of luck again.

Thank you Jayne. Thats really good news that egg donation worked for you through FET. I had the transfer done last week - 2 embies were inplanted . 2 were kept to see if they went through to blastocyst but very sadly they didn't We are just hoping and praying that our two embies make it - its all I can think of. I am grateful that the weekend is approaching as I have a few nice things planned to take my mind off things and then it will be a long wait from Monday - Thursday to fnd the result .

Can I ask you if you told people that you had egg donation, how did they react.
