I was just wondering how many weeks are you usually if they do an elective. Only concerned cause im due 2nd jan, obviously if done at 39 weeks thats christmas day and all the bankholidays after. do they even do electives on bank holidays? if they did it just before i may be in hospital over christmas :( id just love to know, but need to wait til 34 weeks to see consultant!

Usually in the 39th week, so I guess they could do yours the 27th/28th Dec? It will depend when they have theatre lists. The hospital I worked at didn't do electives on bank holidays as the theatres were staffed just for emergencies.

My elective is booked for 40+2 as they could'nt get me in any earlier, unless she decides to come before that :winkwink:

My elective will be around 39 weeks, but I'm sure you could ask for a couple days later. We can't go earlier unless the baby is having issues and we ahve a lot of testing to make sure the baby is ready.
