Got a letter through today from the ACU. We have an appointment to go in to discuss donating our frosty embryos. I still have quite mixed feelings about it all, but I'm becoming more settled that this is the right thing to do.

Monday 24th November.... spare me a little thought.

:hugs: What a lovely thing to do. I hope your appointment goes well x

Good luck with your appointment. I really hope it all goes well - that's such an amazing thing to do. Let us know how you get on xx

hope all goes well hunni, such a fantastic thing that your doing!!

I think donating embryos is a fantastic thing to do - but only if you feel 100% comfortable with it. I have discussed with DH that once we have our family, should we have extra embryos in storage that I would happily donate them. But that's all well and good saying that now, my feelings may change as and when the time comes.

You've got to go with what you feel is right for you and your DH, and if you aren't both 100% committed to it then don't do it. It's not something you can change your mind on 3 months later...

Good luck hun - make the right decision for yourself.

Hi Helen, Wow, I didn't realise that you were investigating this, I remember your post a while back when you were wondering what to do.

As somebody who just had a very poor follicle response from IVF drugs, I can tell you that this is such an amazing thing to do. I imagine this is a difficult decision and think even just looking into the pros of this is truly lovely.

Good luck with your appointment, will be thinking of you.

Ah bless you Helen - that is such a lovely and thoughful thing to do.
If you have mixed feelings are you able to wait off a bit so that when you do decide, you are 110% sure?
Big  for next month x

Such a lovely thing for you to be doing! Best of luck :hugs:

Yeah I was the same, but now that I've seen Charlotte and Thomas I know what they could be and it makes it sooo much harder. I'm hoping that the counselling will help me reach 100%. This appointment is to discuss the implications of donation and the legalities of it.

We could renew the storage for another year (and probably a couple more after that) but I think it will always feel as hard for us. We need to take the first step to help us decide definitely what to do.

Thanks everyone.

What a wonderful thing to do Helen.:hugs:

Good luck with whatever you decide.:hugs:
